Stacking is the best way to take down a GPP in NHL DFS. You are looking at four stacks below, that consist of top and contrarian stacks. Stacking doesn't always feature just wingers or centers, especially with the offensive defenseman in the game these days. When stacking we tend to focus on the top two lines for teams, as well as who is on the powerplay.

The Sharks are always going to get some love, especially with their top line. Columbus was one of two teams last year to allow over three goals per game. The Blue Jackets allowed the Bruins line stack to go off in the first game of this year, allowing six goals. The Sharks are projected for the third most goals on the slate tonight, and this top line is where I want to target. Columbus allowed 31.1 shots on goal per game, and Sergei Bobrovsky was one of the poorer goalies, allowing a 2.92 GAA. The Sharks will force you to pay down at other spots, but this trio has a ton of upside.

We saw the first line connect for a few goals in the first game of the season, and now they will draw a road matchup against Ottawa. The Canadiens are projected to score 2.8 goals tonight, which is among the top half on the slate. Craig Anderson allowed a 3.20 GAA average last season, who showed no signs of improvement in their home opener against Auston Matthews and the Leafs. The Sens had the second worst penalty killing percentage in the league last year (75.8%). Shea Weber grabbed his first point in Montreal, and is going to take a lot of time on the powerplay.

With most looking to stack the Stars, which is a top stack almost every night, Colorado figure to be the swerve away. Dallas had a lot of offense last season, which made up for their subpar defense. Antti Niemi had a near three GAA last season. Dallas allowed 2.78 goals per game last season. Colorado was rolling out this as their top line this morning, which is intriguing given no Matt Duchene. These three skate on the powerplay as well. This is will certainly be one of the lowest owned stacks of the night, and a good one to mix in with another high ceiling line.

Calgary is playing on the back-to-back, and have already allowed 12 goals already to Edmonton in their home-and-home set. After allowing a league worst goals per game last season, and owning the worst penalty kill, we will be firing away yet again against Calgary. Vancouver was a dreadful offensive team last season, and that might be the reason why they are so cheap on both sites. Vegas expects them to put up some goals tonight, nearing 2.9 projected. I am going to take the value and run with this top line tonight, working them as a stack, and also in and out of other team stacks. Loui Eriksson should add a little bit more of a threat to the top line.
