The Chalk

Name FD Salary/Position DK Salary/Position Estimated Ownership
Jamie Benn $9,700/ LW $8,100 / W 20-25%
Tyler Seguin $8,800 / C $8,800 / C 20-25%
Patrick Sharp $7,200 / RW $6,000 / W 10-15%

The leagues most dangerous and productive line is back at it tonight against the lowly Maple Leafs at home. My estimated ownership projections may even be a bit low when looking at the Draftkings pricing, especially for Seguin and Sharp. The pricing on Fanduel is much tighter, but I still expect their ownership to be around 20%, the match up is just that good. As a line this season, they've combined for 13 goals together, tied for first in the NHL, and a Corsi For % of 59.8% (via Puckalytics). Also, they play on the second most effective power play unit with Jason Spezza and John Klingberg, both great plays in their own right tonight. The Leafs have also given up 11 power play goals so far this year, tied for 5th most in the league, not a good recipe for them against the high octane Stars attack. The Stars are also littered with solid value plays tonight like Val Nichushkin, Cody Eakin, Mattias Janmark and Jason Demers.

Name FD Salary/Position DK Salary/Position Estimated Ownership
Milan Lucic $6,100/ LW $4,700 / W 5-10%
Jeff Carter $8,000 / C $6,000 / C 10-15%
Tyler Toffoli $5,700 / RW $5,900 / W 15-20%

This line has been flat out on fire lately, and they get a great home match up against a Coyotes team playing their 4th game in six nights. Over their last ten games, the line has combined for 7 goals and nice CF% of 55.7%. Toffoli's price on Fanduel is criminally low, and should be a staple of your cash game lineups. All three have reasonable pricing on Draftkings, allowing you to play them with whoever you want. All three get power play time with Drew Doughty and Jake Muzzin, two of my favorite plays on defence. If you are looking for a really cheap defenceman, Alec Martinez has been getting loads of ice time lately, and is only $3,100 on Draftkings.

Alex Killorn $5,800/ LW $3,900 / W 5-10%
Tyler Johnson $7,200 / C $5,700 / C 10-15%
Nikita Kucherov $6,500 / RW $5,500 / W 10-15%

Another monster Tuesday night slate, and another Lightning vs. Sabres showdown. Last week the scene was Buffalo, NY, but this Tuesday the Lightning get the friendly confines of Amalie Arena. 'The Triplets' line was broken up recently, with Alex Killorn replacing Ondrej Palat who has moved onto the top line with Steven Stamkos and Valterri Filpulla. This newly formed second line has looked fantastic together, with a CF% of 58.1% in just under 29 minutes together on the ice. Their pricing on Draftkings is ridiculous, as Johnson and Kucherov will be locks for my cash games. The Sabres also have an atrocious penalty kill, and Chad Johnson is confirmed in net for them, making the Lightning even more appealing. Victor Hedman and Anton Stralman make great plays on defence as well.

Contrarian Corner

Name FD Salary/Position DK Salary/Position Estimated Ownership
Johnathan Huberdeau $5,300/ LW $5,000 / W 0-5%
Nick Bjustad $5,100 / C $5,700 / C 2-7%
Jaromir Jagr $6,300 / RW $5,500 / W 5-10%

I've been picking on the Calgary Flames all year for many reasons, and that doesn't stop tonight. They've been getting terrible goaltending, and Karri Ramo doesn't scare me with his .899 save percentage. Their penalty kill percentage of 76.1% is 25th in the league, and this top Florida line is part of their top 10 power play unit that has been clicking lately. Calgary has re-united their top shutdown pairing of Marc Giordano and TJ Brodie, but they should be able to avoid this pairing with the last change. This will be one of my favorite lines to stack in tournaments, and I don't mind taking one of two of them in cash games either.

Name FD Salary/Position DK Salary/Position Estimated Ownership
Jason Zucker $4,800 LW $4,200 / W 0-5%
Mikko Koivu $5,400 / C $4,500 / C 0-5%
Nino Niederreiter $4,600 / RW $3,600 / W 0-5%

With so many great match ups and a massive slate, I think the Wild will be overlooked tonight. Over their last ten games, this line has combined for eight goals, the same production as the Benn-Seguin-Sharp line over the same period. The difference there being this line is priced way too cheap for their recent production. They have a great home match up against the Jets and their average starting goalie, Ondrej Pavelec. Minny has the 7th best power play in the league, and since the Zach Parise injury, all three have seen a lot more time on the man advantage. Ryan Suter and Jared Spurgeon are great plays on defence if you're looking to go with a full Wild stack.
