Below I will sample a cash game lineup I have constructed on both FanDuel and DraftKings. On top of listing the rationale for each entry, I will also indicate some other cash game picks I was considering at each position. Keep in mind that these lineups are tailored specifically for head-to-head, 50/50, and double-up contests, with the intention of being a safe, above average entry.
QUARTERBACK
I don't believe there are any "must play quarterbacks" within this slate. Instead, there are several really good QB's that you can look towards depending on the cap space you have available. Of that bunch, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Carson Palmer, and Cam Newton really stand out. Newton is the cheapest of that group, checking in with one of the better matchups...at home against a Saints defense that has gotten torched over the past two weeks. New Orleans failed to get any pressure on Jameis Winston last Sunday, and he carved them up for a solid bounce-back game. Cam Newton could easily do the same in this spot. As an added bonus, Cam is running the ball more than ever, totaling 11 and 14 rushing attempts respectively in his first two games ... Tyrod Taylor and Ryan Fitzpatrick catch my eye for even less cap space, but they classify more as tournament options.
