Hey guys. I don't have any basketball to bet on until Saturday, so I figured I would give baseball a try. What do you think about this lineup for 50/50?
8 years agoIs stacking better for cash, GPP, or both? Seems like the upside is there in doing so, but also that part of the lineup could completely bust and get you nothing
8 years ago@anthony for cash games I focus on pitching first then my bats. I am not a huge fan of stacking in cash games unless it is obvious situations like Coors or a really bad pitcher. I am not a huge fan of the Texas bats. They have been pretty awful all season.
8 years agoThanks Zach. We got a first timer here! Logic was telling me that stacking seems like more of a GPP strategy due to the higher boom/bust potential. I may be a homer and throw that one in the quarter arcade so I can root for my Rangers. I'll start my cash from scratch and repost
8 years agoReal quick though...Hamels and Stroman or Hamels and Hammel
8 years agoFor cash games I would go the safer of the two and that is Hamel and Hammel. You want to look at the a Vegas lines and projected runs to start.
8 years agoOk I have a feeling you are going to tear me a new one on this. I was considering spending up on Donaldson instead of Altuve. Thoughts?
8 years ago@anthonyI don't mind it at all
8 years agoCool thanks Zach. what is your opinion on stacking for GPPs? To me it seems like a good idea to snag value pitchers and spend up on high ceiling batters, but I just can't decide on the stacking strategy
8 years agoHey Anthony,
Stacking is better for GPP. Gives your lineup more upside, but has the potential to bust as well. For cash if you like a team you can do a "mini stack," which is just 2 or 3 guys, preferably 2.
Vale pitchers are always a good idea, but depends on matchups and the actual pitcher. Tonight the only value pitcher I would personally target is Strippling.
And if you haven't already, the cheat sheets Zach does are a huge help when your stuck. Those come in handy. As well as the Cash game article Jason did today and the pitcher pulse I worked on as well.
Tonight is going to be tough with pitchers. No clear-cut pitcher, but the Hammel/Hamels combo seems safest to me.
Hope this helps.
Nick
8 years agodk gpp them Cubs look to good right now
8 years agoI'm personally not huge on a Cubs stack. Rasiel Iglesias is a great pitcher. They have been hot, so they could carry that momentum into tonight..
8 years agoI agree with Nick on this one.
8 years agohow does this one look
8 years ago@nygiantsI have no problem with that llineup . tonight is an ugly slate
8 years agoshould I go with prince or stack even further with Edwin encarcian
8 years ago- this is the last one going to play cheap tonight good night for hockey how do unlike a Royals stack
@nygiants you can do either Prince or EE but in full stack I would do EE. Love the Royals and your last lineup a lot.
