Current radar in BOS and simulated radar in CHW, the 2 games most at risk:

Thunderstorms, some of them strong, will drift towards Boston this evening. It is debatable whether or not they get into the city. What worries me is that some other thunderstorms may pop up ahead of the main line. I do not think there is myuch risk of a PPD but there could be a delay. LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; LOW TO MODERATE RISK OF SOME SORT OF DELAY(S)

In Chicago, the Tigers are visiting the White Sox. By 10 PM eastern time, the simulated radar is showing this:

They may have a very tough time finishing this game if this prediction is true. LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; MODERATE CHANCE OF AN IN-GAME DELAY

THE REST OF THE FORECAST BELOW IS NOT UPDATED

Forecasting Analysis:

CLE@BAL, SD@WSH

Just a few scattered thunderstorms across the mid-Atlantic this evening should not be a big deal. Here is what the radar is forecast to look like:

VERY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; LOW CHANCE OF ANY SORT OF DELAY(S) IN BAL, SLIGHTLY HIGHER RISK OF SOME SORT OF DELAY(S) IN WSH

MIN@BOS

A few thunderstorms will rumble across southern New England this evening. The simulated radar for this evening looks like this:

VERY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; LOW CHANCE OF SOME SORT OF DELAY(S)

DET@CHW

We will have to keep an eye on the radar as there will likely be a mass of thunderstorms to the northwest of the city that will approach during the game. They should be OK but you never exactly know how this thunderstorm complex will behave.

VERY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)

TEX@KC

As we can see by now, the theme of today is watching the radar carefully. It is doubtful that any game is PPD but with thunderstorms predicted to be close to many cities you have to watch carefully. A thunderstorm that develops and drops alot of rain in a short amount of time COULD cause a surprise PPD. That was the theme last night, is again today and is near KC as well. Here is the simulated radar for this evening:

VERY LOW CHANCE OF A PPD; LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)

ATL@DEN

Seems like just run of the mill thunderstorms this evening in Denver. Should not be a major problem but we will watch the radar carefully. Here is what the radar could look like:

VERY LOW CHANCE OF PPD; LOW CHANCE OF ANY TYPE OF DELAY(S)
