Each day of the MLB season will bring us some major price differences among starting pitchers on all sites. These price discrepancies and the site's roster differences can alter the way we use pitchers on each site, as well as how the field of opponents will use them. Listed below are five of today's top pitchers, each with their salary listed as well as the cafe value that takes into account both the total salary cap on the site and points-per-dollar. We've also provided some betting info for you reference. The higher the cafe value, the better the points-per-dollar play is.

Chris Sale

Another start, and another double digit strikeout performance. That is now eight straight starts with double-digit strikeouts, and Texas' 24.8% strikeout rate against southpaws presents Sale another opportunity to rack them up. Sale owns a 38.6% strikeout rate this season, and his 16.4 SwStr% leads the league. Not only is Sale missing a ton of bats, he is pitching at an extremely efficient rate. He is averaging under four pitches per plate appearance, and has just a 5.3% walk rate. Sale has failed to go at least seven innings in all but one start this season, and that was a 10-strikeout performance against Minnesota, where he went six. Sale leads the league in about everything under the sun, and Texas struggles outside of their home ballpark and against left-handed pitching. I mentioned the high strikeout rate, but they also rank 26th in wOBA and 20th in wOBA. Texas will put out some platoon right-handers that are no match to Sale, and then their usual left-handed starters. Sale is by far the top option on the slate, and is worth the high price tag.
