Each day of the MLB season will bring us some major price differences among starting pitchers on all sites. These price discrepancies and the site's roster differences can alter the way we use pitchers on each site, as well as how the field of opponents will use them. Listed below are five of today's top pitchers, each with their salary listed as well as the cafe value that takes into account both the total salary cap on the site and points-per-dollar. We've also provided some betting info for you reference. The higher the cafe value, the better the points-per-dollar play is.

Chris Sale

After a day with Clayton Kershaw, Corey Kluber, and Jon Lester on the hill -- we have Chris Sale and then not much else after. The Royals are a team that has seen Chris Sale a fair amount over the years as AL Central rivals. Sale has a 3.33 ERA over ten starts against Sale over the last three years. He has averaged about a strikeout per inning against them, which is a plus. But, overall this lineup has a .316 average and 22.9% strikeout rate against Sale over 332 at-bats. The Royals aren't striking out against lefties (18.6%), but rank 23rd in wOBA and 24th in ISO. Sale has had more pedestrian starts against Kansas City than good ones, so the reward of fading him in tournaments isn't bad. Unfortunately for us, there isn't much to really pivot to. That's the issue. Sale finally bounced back after a string of subpar for the price starts. This season Sale has been solid, rolling out a 1.78 FIP and 2.61 xFIP to match his 2.82 ERA. His 35.2% strikeout rate is still an elite K% in the game, and he is holding right-handed bats to a .240 wOBA and lefties to a .241 wOBA. As much as I want to fade away from Sale, I will, but it won't be as much given the lack of remaining options.
