Vegas Notes

- We have a massive 11-game slate of action tonight, and there is no shortage of games with huge totals. Starting at the top, we have Kings-Lakers (215, +6.5), with Warriors-Bulls (214.5, +6.5) right behind.

- The lowest total on the slate belongs to Jazz-Knicks (187, -2.5).

- The Cavs are the only double-digit favorite on the slate at -12.5 on the road at Brooklyn (197).

We all saw what Curry did to the Cavaliers a few days back with 56.25 DK points....in 28 minutes. He now has 56+ DK points in 4 of 6 games, with the 2 outliers being 42 and 46.5 FP. His matchup against the Bulls is an easy one, as Derrick Rose and company continue to struggle against PG this season. This is a full slate, and paying up isn't a must if you're going with a balanced lineup, but if I'm paying up for one stud tonight, it'll be Curry.

Butler's price continues to be through the roof on FD, but it's hard to argue with him in this spot. Derrick Rose didn't play in the first meeting, and it was Butler who destroyed the Warriors in every facet of the game (28/9/7 with 3 steals for 56.25 DK points). While repeating those numbers will be no easy task, Butler does have 50+ DK points in 4 of his last 10 games, and has reached 40 in 8 of 10. He is the key to the Bulls' offense (sorry, Pau Gasol), and will need to show up in a big way once again if the Bulls are to have a shot tonight.

Millsap is pretty pricy tonight, but he draws a favorable matchup against a Portland team that is allowing the 7th-most fantasy points to PF over their last 5 games. Millsap's numbers against Portland in their first matchup are skewed, as he played just 24 minutes in a game that was a blowout early in the 4th quarter (Lillard and McCollum sat out). Millsap has a tremendous floor, with 24 DK points being his WORST output of the season. He possesses upside as well, as evidenced by his dominant 57.5 DK points in just 33 minutes against Milwaukee. He is as safe as they come at PF.

Hayward is another player that I prefer on DK, as his FD price jumped significantly after his monster 36/5/9 game in OT against Charlotte last time out. Derrick Favors is officially "doubtful" for tonight's contest, which will give Hayward another crack at being the best offensive threat on the floor for Utah for at least one game. Hayward has a usage rate of 30.1% in the month of January (Favors hasn't played since December 23rd), so you can bank on plenty of offensive opportunities for him once again. Kevin Durant is the premier play here, but if you can't afford him, Hayward is my favorite pivot.

If Curry doesn't end up as the high scorer tonight, my money is on Boogie. He has been the best big man on the planet recently, and it isn't particularly close. His last 7 games (DK scoring): 64.75, 73.75, 57 (vs the Lakers), 54.5, 51.5, 63.25, 47.75. The only thing that can slow down this man at this point is his temper. He has owned the Lakers this season (who hasn't?), averaging just over 50 DK points per game in 30 MPG over two games. His ceiling is enormous, and his floor is as good as they come.

Value Plays

Marcus Smart (PG - BOS) FD: $5,400 DK: $5,000

This one shouldn't sneak up on anyone due to his recent play, but Smart makes for a great option once again in the bargain bin. He has posted 51.75, 23, and 39 DK points in his last 3 games, and should see minutes in the 30s once again due to his defensive play. He's my favorite cheap guard option once again.

Tyler Johnson (PG/SG - MIA) FD (PG): $4,500 DK (SG): $5,400

Maybe the wounds haven't healed yet from your lineups being gashed last night, but Johnson was in early foul trouble and never got it going. Beno Udrih (and Goran Dragic) will sit once again, leaving the door wide open for Johnson to see big minutes against Washington. He isn't the sexiest pick, but at his tag, he should be able to reach value in a decent matchup.

Aaron Gordon (SF/PF - ORL) FD (PF): $4,200 DK (SF): $4,200

Gordon has now reached 20 FP in 4 of his last 5 contests, and will see an uptick with Victor Oladipo ruled out once again. He outplayed Evan Fournier last time out, and both are in a great spot against Philly tonight. Fire him up as a solid low-cost option.

I am glad to see Hayward here. I really like the price tag, and without Favors, he is the guy.
