Vegas Notes

- When the Kings are playing, you can usually find that game near the top of the highest projected scoring list. No different tonight, with a 216 total. This is a great game to target. Pistonts-Pelicans is the next highest, sitting at 206.

- Spurs are 15.5 favorites tonight against Phoenix. No use paying up for their players in cash games, but San Antonio value is still in play.

- Denver-Memphis has the lowest total on the slate, but both teams are projected to score over 95 points.

Jrue Holiday is stepping into the starting lineup tonight, with Eric Gordon out 4-6 weeks. He is averaging 15-8-3 in the last five games, in 27 minutes. Evans will shift over to the SG spot, while Holiday takes point. Detroit has been above average defensively against opposing point guards this season, but not high enough to keep me off Holiday. They have allowed the 10th highest FG% to opposing PG, and have been more average in fantasy points allowed in the last ten games. Holiday is going to be a chalky play tonight, but completely worth it at his price.

Will Barton is your highest priced shooting guard tonight on FanDuel, so that pretty much tells you how SG is on this slate. KCP logs monster minutes night in and night out, averaging 37 on the season, and 36 in the last five games. He is in the midst of a hot streak right now, shooting 52% from the field. KCP is definitely not known for his shooting, given his 41% on the season. Averaging 18-1-3, with 2.2 steals per game in the last five games has him on my radar for tonight's smaller slate. Detroit has a 102 total, and facing off against a bottom five defensive team, I will definitely have shares of Detroit. KCP is a nice cash game option tonight, but if you are looking to play Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond as well, pivot off of KCP, three Pistons is too much.

Yes, LeBron James is your top SF option tonight, but I am not desperate to fit him in my lineup tonight. If he fits alongside DeMarcus Cousins in your lineups, then fire away. Danilo Gallinari is the guy I am eying in cash tonight, even against Memphis. They have allowed the 11th most fantasy points per game to opposing SF. Gallinari is averaging 23-1-4 in the last five games, with 1.4 steals+blocks per game. Despite being a lower total game tonight there are a few great pieces on both sides to target, and a 96 team total is not terrible. He doesn't have the peripheral numbers James has, but he does save you some cash without sacrificing a ton of fantasy points.

Paul Millsap put on another nice showing last night, going 23-2-9, with two steals. Averaging 20-3-8 in the last five games, last night seems to be the Millsap standard these days. His defensive stats are something worth mentioning, averaging 3.1 blocks+steals per game this season. Sacramento is allowing the 7th most fantasy points per game to opposing power forwards, alongside allowing 3.4 blocks+steals. Millsap is a very safe option for 38-42 fantasy points tonight, and most certainly can reach higher as he did in the last matchup against the Kings, dropping 58 DK. Millsap is averaging 19-3-9, with 3.5 blocks+steals on the second night of back-to-backs this season. No concern for me there.

DeMarcus Cousins (PF/C), Kings

Projection

Hawks351.4329.135.050.710850.1

Salary: FD: $10,700 DK: $10,600

DeMarcus Cousins is the top play of the night, and it's really not even close. He has a monster 35% usage rate, and has finally figured out that he does not need to take so many mid-range jumpers. He is averaging 30-3-14 in the last four games, shooting 48% from the field. With the highest total on the night being the Kings, Boogie will be the first player in all my lineups. Atlanta ranks 29th in rebounding differential, and have allowed the 7th most fantasy points per game to opposing centers. Cousins has surpassed 50+ fantasy points in 7 of the last 10 games. Lock him in.

Value Plays

Patty Mills (PG - SAS) FD: $3,500 DK: $3,500

Tony Parker is ruled out for tonight, as San Antonio takes on a battered Phoenix team. Mills is not likely to draw the start, as Pop likes to keep the bench players together. Mills is still likely to see 25 minutes, and has averaged 11-3-1 in three games without Tony Parker this season. Not stellar, but for bare minimum, and against a bad Phoenix defense, he allows some lineup flexibility.

Jamal Crawford (SG - LAC) FD: $4,400 DK: $4,700

J.J. Redick has scored 62 real points in the last two games, and is going to be a lot of people's preferred choice. If you need to save a little more cash, I do not mind spending down to Jamal Crawford. He is averaging 17-2-2 in the last three games. (25 FP) Redick was around the same mark prior to the last two games. You are more likely to see Redick hover back down to his 16-1-1 season average than drop another 40 point game.

Darrell Arthur (PF - DEN) FD: $4,300 DK: $4,900

Darrell Arthur has been seeing more consistent minutes for Denver, averaging 27 in the last five games. He is averaging 11-2-7 in that span, shooting 56% from the field. Memphis surprisingly ranks 22nd in rebound differential, and have allowed the 9th most fantasy points per game to opposing PF. Not an intimidating matchup by any means.

Disregard Holiday starting, will still come off the bench, which is better for him
