Vegas Notes

- Monster 14 game slate tonight, and there is only one double-digit spread. Spurs are favored by 11.5.

- Warriors-Blazers, Kings-Nuggets, Suns-Rockets, and Pacers-Thunder are the four elite scoring games to target tonight.

- 76ers-Pelicans, Grizzlies-Wolves, Bucks-Hornets, and Magic-Mavs are all in play as well.

- The Celtics, Heat, Lakers, and Bulls are the teams not on my radar in cash games.

Nuggets351.1225.519.252.311139.2

Salary: FD: $9,000 DK: $8,300

Rajon Rondo went into the all-star break notching at least 15 assists in each of the last four games. He will get a friendly matchup against the Nuggets tonight, who have allowed the 8th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards. Sacramento is involved in the second highest total game of the night, and have the fourth highest team total. I can't see paying up for guys like Curry and Westbrook tonight with so many options in this range. Do not worry about the questionable or GTD tag by Rondo's name, he is probable tonight.

@Bucks35.20.9220.521.638.710132.2

Salary: FD: $7,000 DK: $7,400

With MKG done for the season, Nicolas Batum will likely slide back over to small forward, so we will likely get to use him here at shooting guard for a little while. Milwaukee has allowed 7th most fantasy points per game to opposing small forwards, and rank 21st in rebounding. Batum is a solid peripheral numbers type of player, which is why he is an excellent option in cash. He has five or more assists in each of the last six games, and five or more rebounds in five of the last six. In plus matchups Batum has been a safe play, and against Milwaukee, he should be in for another 30+ fantasy point night.

Celtics360.9421.526.039.898.533.8

Salary: FD: $7,800 DK: $7,100

We have plenty of choices at small forward tonight, so why Gordon Hayward? Boston is subpar in fantasy points allowed to opposing small forwards, allowing the 9th most this season, and Hayward plays monster minutes on a nightly basis. He has played less than 35 minutes just twice in the last ten games, and has scored less than 30 fantasy points three times in that span. Hayward's usage has gone up, and his shot attempts are in a 15-20 range over the last ten games. Jazz have a 98.5 total which is decent, but one Jazz players is about enough for my lineups.

@Grizzlies320.9425.317.048.29930.1

Salary: FD: $6,500 DK: $6,700

Over the break the sites have moved Gorgui Dieng over to power forward, where he belongs. With Kevin Garnett and Nikola Pekovic doubtful again for tonight, Dieng will log monster minutes at the four. Memphis is a mess down low, allowing the 5th most rebounds to opposing PF, and ranking in the middle of the league in FG% allowed. With no Marc Gasol, the interior defense will get worse for Memphis. Dieng is another player who eats minutes, averaging 36 minutes per game this month. He has six double-doubles in the last ten games, and has been a consistent performer overall.

Projection

@Pelicans271.0231.427.152.210027.5

Salary: FD: $6,600 DK: $6,400

I was hesitant here for a minute, but the price is too good to pass up against New Orleans. The Pelicans have allowed the second most fantasy points per game to opposing centers, and rank 23rd in rebounding. The minutes have been a bit inconsistent this season, but he did play 30+ three games before the break, and played well. Even if he plays just 25 minutes tonight, he has been a solid producer. A double-double is close to a sure thing, and he has block upside tonight. New Orleans has allowed the 4th most blocks per game to opposing centers.

Value Plays

Emmanuel Mudiay (PG - DEN) FD: $5,700 DK: $5,800

There are not many cheap point guards to go with tonight, and Emmanuel Mudiay is at that borderline cheap play price for me. I won't be going much lower in my personal lineups tonight. Mudiay was a consistent PG2 before the break, and should do the same coming out tonight against the Kings. Sac-Town has allowed the 3rd most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards this season, and in the last ten games.

Evan Fournier (SG - ORL) FD: $5,200 DK: $5,400

I am going to take a wait and see approach for most of the Orlando players tonight. They added Brandon Jennings and Ersan Ilyasova, while losing Tobias Harris. Before the break Harris was injured, and Evan Fournier played above 40 minutes in three straight games. He was extremely effective, scoring over 30 fantasy points in the last four games. He draws an average matchup against Dallas tonight, and should be one of the safer options for minutes.

Amar'e Stoudemire (PF - MIA) FD: $4,300 DK: $4,200

Chris Bosh is out tonight, and so is Hassan Whiteside. These leaves a big gap to fill down low, and Amar'e Stoudemire is going to be the one to fill it, well for as long as he can last. I Even with those absences, the minutes will still not go into the 30's, but 22-25 seems about right. Stoudemire was a fun value play when Whiteside was banged up, and will get another run for value tonight. Atlanta has allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to opposing centers, and rank 29th in rebounding.

Andrew Bogut (C - GSW) FD: $4,800 DK: $4,400

Andrew Bogut has played 29 and 23 minutes since Festus Ezili went down with an injury. The 23 was on a back-to-back, and he should be in the range for 25 minutes tonight. He had 11 blocks, and five steals in three games before the break, posting solid fantasy point games. I like him more on DK where he can round out a utility spot, rather than take up the one on FanDuel.

I disagree with Amar'e tonight. On this huge slate there are way better ways to go with your value in cash games.

Like who?
zachsgotmoxy
At his price he is cheap but the total in that game is low and the Hawks are big favorites. I just think in cash you pay up for Aaron Gordon and balance your lienup out.
JasonG4s
I like Gordon, and will have my shares. A matchup against Atlanta at his price is still in play for me, just depends on how you construct lineups tonight.
zachsgotmoxy
I love him in GPPs just prefer safety in minutes in cash tonight

Watch out for Josh McRoberts! Obviously risky and a (tournament play only) . Great article.
