Vegas Notes

- It is a pretty ugly slate tonight, and three of the five games have attractive totals. San Antonio-Miami and Dallas-Utah have totals below 195. Utah-Dallas is sitting at 185, but I actually like that game a bit more than San Antonio-Miami.

- Golden State and Houston is a blowout concern, with the Warriors being 14.5 point favorites. It is still your top option for tonight's slate, with Celtics-Bucks, and Knicks-Wizards being the next in line.

Salary: FD: $10,200 DK: $10,000

The Knicks have been awful of late, especially on the defensive side. They have allowed the 4th most fantasy points per game to opposing point guards, and have allowed 104 points per game in the last ten. I love this matchup tonight on both sides, especially for the primetime players, Wall and Melo. Both have the best matchups in this game, and should be dueling against each other. Wall has averaged 22-6-10 in the last six games, with 3.5 blocks+steals a game. I like Wall as a cheaper option to Curry, despite the high price tag still. Both carry big upside, and the floor is fairly similar. Curry is an attractive play tonight, but I rather grab some different Warriors to get exposure to that game.

I am not a fan of paying up for James Harden tonight, but to get exposure to this game give me some Klay Thompson. The Rockets have allowed the 3rd highest FG% to opposing shooting guards, and the 9th highest 3-PT%. He has averaged 24 and 4 in two games against Houston, shooting 54% from the field. Houston has allowed the 5th highest fantasy points allowed per game to opposing shooting guards, so Klay Thompson is a solid option from this game. There are a few shooting guards below to go cheaper at, so while Thompson is a great play, he is not a must play.

Wizards351.1223.429.44610439.2

Salary: FD: $8,900 DK: $8,400

Like I mentioned with the Wall versus Melo matchup tonight, Melo gets a great matchup and is the lone small forward to target tonight. Washington has allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing small forwards this season, and the highest FG%. If you have health concerns about Melo, he played 35 minutes on Sunday, and had Monday for rest. He is averaging 19-10-5 in the last five games, and despite shooting 33% from the field in that span, he is averaging over 40 fantasy points a game. A matchup with the Wizards should bump that FG% up.

Rockets331.2126.819.252.712239.9

Salary: FD: $9,100 DK: $9,300

Draymond Green is my favorite Golden State player tonight. Even in blowouts he can put up his usual numbers due to his peripheral stats. He is averaging 12-11-9, with 3.3 blocks+steals in the last four games. He is shooting 66% in that span, and shooting far less with just 30 shot attempts. Houston ranks 24th in rebounding, and have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing power forwards. It has shown in Green's prior two games against them, as he is averaging 9-9-11, with 3.5 blocks+steals each game. He is a pricey player, but in consideration to Curry, and the other players in this game, he is more practical for all formats. Derrick Favors is the next top option.

Projection

Celtics321.1526.824.353.310136.8

Salary: FD: $7,900 DK: $6,700

Bucks-Celtics is my second favorite game of the night for fantasy production, and I am looking at Greg Monroe to get it done in the paint. He is averaging 20 and 8 in the last five games, shooting 56% from the field. Monroe's price is excellent on DraftKings, and Monroe is your top priced option on FD. He is the top points-per-dollar center tonight either way. Boston ranks 19th in rebounding, and have allowed the 12th most fantasy points per game to opposing centers. Boston plays up-tempo, so expect Milwaukee to come up in temp a bit. This will create more opportunities for boards, and offensive production.

Value Plays

Evan Turner (SG/SF - BOS) FD: $5,900 DK: $5,600

Evan Turner has averaged 27 minutes a game in the last six, to go with a 13-6-6 line. He is shooting 52% from the field in that span, and will get a friendly matchup against Milwaukee tonight. They rank in the bottom half against opposing shooting guards, and small forwards. He is shooting guard on DK, and small forward on FD. He is a great secondary option tonight.

Arron Afflalo (SG - NYK) FD: $5,200 DK: $5,300

If you want a ton of minutes, Arron Afflalo is your guy. He is averaging 38 in the last seven games, and has played 40+ in the last four. He is averaging 16-3-3 in that span. Washington has allowed the 7th most fantasy points per game to opposing shooting guards, and the second highest FG%. He has a decent 25 fantasy point floor, but needs all the minutes to get him there.

Dirk Nowitzki (PF - DAL) FD: $6,800 DK: $5,800

Not the best matchup on paper by any means, but for these prices I love Dirk tonight as a value play on DK. I also like this game more than the San Antonio-Miami game. Dirk is averaging 17 and 6 in the last five games. Utah is a good rebounding, and slow paced team, but rank 14th in opp-FG%, and 24th in opp-3-PT%. Nowitzki dropped 21 and 9 on average in three games against the Jazz, shooting 55%. He went 19-4-2 in a game against them earlier, shooting over 60% from the field. Nowitzki can spread the floor and avoid the interior defense. Jabari Parker is your cheaper PF option.
