I love CaMVP once again this week against one of, if not, the worst secondaries in the NFL. The Giants rank dead last in the NFL in passing yards allowed per game with 308. They have allowed three of the past four quarterbacks to throw for 300 yards and have allowed the third most fantasy points to the position with 20.56 a game. Newton has been fantastic all season but has really turned it up recently. Over his past four games, Newton has 13 touchdown passes and one rushing score. He has scored at least 20 fantasy points in five of his past six games and is averaging 23.9 per game this season. In a game that the Panthers will go out gunning to try to wrap up the number-one seed for the playoffs in the NFC, I expect big things from Newton this week.

When you talk about hot players, there is no one hotter than Mr. Wilson. In the past four weeks, Wilson has thrown at least three touchdown passes in each game, and he's gone over 30 fantasy points in each of the past three weeks. He has 17 total touchdowns in those four games and has an excellent matchup this week. The Browns just put their best defender, Joe Haden, on IR and were not very good to begin with. They rank 22nd in passing yards allowed per game with 254, they've allowed the eighth most fantasy points per game with 19.70. They've also allowed the seventh most passing touchdowns this season with 26. In a game that the Seahawks must win to keep their division hopes alive with a just signed running back as their lead back, you can fully expect Wilson to put the Hawks on his back once again and have a huge game.

The Saints were able to stop Jameis Winston and the Bucs but have the worst secondary in the NFL. They have allowed a league worst 36, yes, that is not a typo 36 touchdown passes this season. They allow 24.54 fantasy points per game which is by far the worst in the NFL and also allow the second most passing yards per game with 279. Stafford has been great since the offensive coaching change. He has thrown at least two touchdown passes in six of his past eight games and has scored at least 16 fantasy points in seven of those games. He is averaging 275.5 passing yards a game in those eight games and has even shown the ability to get you points in the running game. He has three games with 20 rushing yards and a rushing score in these games as well. I like Stafford as a cheaper option if you're looking to save some salary this week.

Don't look now, but Blake Bortles is starting to creep up into the elite fantasy quarterback range. Bortles is seventh in the NFL in passing yards with 3,524 and is third in passing touchdowns with 30. He is averaging 20.9 fantasy points per game which is fifth in the NFL and ahead of names like Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees and Philip Rivers. Bortles has eight of nine games with at least two touchdown passes and has scored at least 17 fantasy points in seven of those games. He has been on fire the past three weeks with 901 yards, 10 passing scores and 49 rushing yards with a score. The Falcons are a mess right now and allowed Cam Newton to have his way with them. While I don't like Bortles as much as I like the other three names on this list, you cannot go wrong with choosing Bortles and his consistency this week.

For some reason, Carson Palmer has flown under the radar the past couple of weeks, and I really don't know why. To be truthful, he is having the best season of any quarterback this year and that includes Cam Newton. Palmer ranks second in the NFL in passing touchdowns with 31 and second in passing yards with 4,003. He has thrown for at least 300 yards and two scores in five of his past six games and gone for at least 17 fantasy points in nine straight games. The matchup against the Eagles is excellent as well. The Eagles allow the second most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks with 21.66 and have allowed 29.36 the past three weeks which is worst in the NFL. They allow the second most passing touchdowns in the NFL with 29, and I am expecting Palmer to dominate this week.

I am a big fan of Brees this week in GPPs going against the Lions. Brees keeps chugging along week in and week out but is flying under the radar. He has thrown at least two touchdown passes in five of his past six games and has gone over 300 yards three times in those games. He has scored over 20 fantasy points in four of the six and has shown the upside you like as well with two of the games going for over 32 fantasy points. The Lions are a middle of the road pass defense ranking 10th in passing yards per game with 233, 13th in touchdown passes allowed with 20 and 15th in fantasy points allowed with 18.12. Those numbers are a little misleading, though, as in the past three weeks they have faced Nick Foles and Mark Sanchez who are two quarterbacks who really are not very good. I expect Brees to have his normal 300 yards and two-to-three score game this week.

With Kirk Cousins playing at home, he is on my radar. He is just a way different player at home than he is on the road. Cousins at home has a completion percentage of 74% with a 6-to-1 touchdown to interception ratio. Cousins has gone over 20 fantasy points in each of his past four games, and the matchup against the Bills is a decent one as well. The Bills rank 22nd in passing yards allowed per game with 254 and have allowed 24 passing touchdowns this year. If this game was on the road, I would not like Cousins, but in a must win home game, I am more than willing to take a flier on Cousins this week.

In your super cheap category a lot of people will be on A.J. McCarron, but not this guy. I just do not see the upside with McCarron on the road against a 49ers defense that has been excellent at home this season. Instead, give me Mr. Yates going against that awful Colts defense. The Colts have been downright atrocious this season but especially the past two weeks. For the season, they have allowed the sixth most fantasy points to quarterbacks with 20.33, fourth most passing yards per game with 276 and fifth most passing touchdowns with 27. Over the past two weeks, they have allowed eight total touchdowns to quarterbacks and 96 points. Yates also gets the benefit of playing in an offense that passes more than any other team in the NFL. For near minimum on both sites, give me the upside of Yates this week.

Love the Bortles value call, and the top priced options are in really good spots.
