The early lineup optimizer for Week 10 is going running back heavy in all three lineups. David Johnson, Melvin Gordon, and Le'Veon Bell show up in all three lineups. Johnson against the 49ers is obviously the elite matchup of the week, and then we dive into two high upside backs of Gordon and Bell. Both are high usage guys, and we have seen the ceiling. One thing I noticed looking into Week 10 on Monday was Ben Roethlisberger's price on both sites, and that seems to be keyed in on with him being an optimizer favorite early. I like this move given his home/away numbers, and also him getting a week under his belt after the injury.
Now paying up for all of those big name running backs, it left salary thin to pay for some wide receivers. This means fading guys like Mike Evans, Julio Jones, and Antonio Brown. We see Jordan Matthews pop up at $5,900, who has been over 20 targets in the last two games. On a PPR site he fits much better here with that volume. Then we start to get into some riskier plays like Dontrelle Inman, who will be safer if Travis Benjamin is out. Rishard Matthews has been solid of late, but can we trust it to continue? In cash games it is hard to roll the dice on some of those guys, and you will need the running backs to really hit.
The minor positions like tight end use Zach Miller, who is sitting at just $3,600. I don't mind it, given you will need to save somewhere. Chicago is in a decent spot against a mediocre Tampa pass defense. The defenses are a bit off for me, Philly is in a tough spot against Atlanta, and have been trending downwards. San Diego is in a decent spot if they can lock up Jay Ajayi.
