Quarterback

QB Opp Ownership % DK Salary FD Salary
Cam Newton Falcons 9 $7,500 $9,200
Blake Bortles Colts 8.8 $6,000 $7,700
Jameis Winston Saints 8.2 $5,500 $7,800
Russell Wilson @ Ravens 7.3 $6,300 $8,500
Ben Roethlisberger @ Bengals 6.8 $6,800 $8,300
Tyrod Taylor @ Eagles 6.2 $5,400 $7,500
Ryan Fitzpatrick Titans 3 $5,400 $7,800
Andy Dalton Steelers 2.6 $6,600 $8,200
Tom Brady @ Texans 2.4 $7,800 $9,300
Alex Smith Chargers 2 $5,100 $6,800

No quarterback at over 10% ownership means you can really take your pick of favorite quarterback. The top six quarterbacks in terms of ownership are the six QBs I'm using in the DraftKings Millionaire Maker, so suffice to say I'm a fan of all six. I'd expect Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson to net a higher ownership percentage on DK thanks to lower salaries relative to their peers there. Take your pick as to who to stack with Ben Roethlisberger, or maybe even grab two of his pass catchers or one receiver and DeAngelo Williams, all of those options play well in GPPs. Of the rest of the group, I like Ryan Fitzpatrick's matchup and expect the game to be closer than the spread suggests, so I don't believe the Jets will be in a position to take their foot off of the gas early in the second half. Andy Dalton is getting no love, but the Steelers were torched a couple weeks ago by Russell Wilson, and Dalton has much better pass catchers to air it out to. If Rob Gronkowski plays, you can go ahead and quadruple Tom Brady's ownership rate, and if he doesn't, I'd pass on using Brady.

Running Back

RB Opp Ownership% DK Salary FD Salary
Thomas Rawls @ Ravens 17.3 $5,800 $7,400
LeSean McCoy @ Eagles 17 $6,100 $7,900
Doug Martin Saints 14.3 $6,200 $8,000
Shaun Draughn @ Browns 13.5 $4,800 $6,500
DeAngelo Williams @ Bengals 9.8 $6,000 $7,300
Lamar Miller Giants 9.4 $5,700 $6,600
Jonathan Stewart Falcons 6.6 $5,800 $7,200
T.J. Yeldon Colts 6.4 $4,900 $6,400
Todd Gurley Lions 5.6 $6,800 $7,900
Matt Forte Redskins 4.4 $6,800 $7,800
Chris Ivory Titans 4.3 $5,000 $7,100
Devonta Freeman @ Panthers 2 $7,700 $8,700
Eddie Lacy Cowboys 1.7 $4,700 $6,200
Ameer Abdullah @ Rams 0.3 $3,600 $5,400

Thomas Rawls has been great in his rookie season, and while the Ravens are tough on running backs, I'm already willing to deem him matchup proof in the run-heavy offense for the Seahawks. He's ripping off huge chunks of yardage and has even proven to be a capable pass catcher. The combination of stellar play from LeSean McCoy lately and the revenge narrative has pushed him to the second highest owned back in the Thursday FanDuel Mini Dive. He's a strong play this week, and while you won't get any low-ownership edge, the ceiling is worth investing in. The Saints have been lost defensively against the pass this year, and that overshadows the fact they've also been putrid against the run. Enter Doug Martin as a high-ceiling GPP play. Shaun Draughn has done the bulk of his damage as a pass catcher, but this week, he'll have a chance to pile up some yardage on the ground against a Browns squad allowing the second most rushing yards per game. Looking a little lower in the list, if you believe the Jets will cover their 7.5 point spread, then Chris Ivory makes for a strong option to salt away a big lead against the Titans. Game flow would hurt most backs as 7.5 point underdogs, but Devonta Freeman should be aided if the oddsmakers are correct. The Panthers have allowed the fourth most receptions to running backs this year, and Freeman is the best receiving back in the league this year. His ceiling is through the roof, and his low ownership rate is tasty. Ameer Abdullah is a back I like quite a bit in GPPs this week. The Lions are out of it, Abdullah has set new single-game rushing yardage highs in back-to-back weeks and could be in store for more playing time to be evaluated down the stretch. The Rams were a stout defensive unit early in the year, but they've sunk in the ranks and are one of the most fantasy-friendly matchups for running backs.

Wide Receiver

WR Opp Ownership% DK FD
Odell Beckham Jr. @ Dolphins 20.6 $9,100 $9,300
Allen Robinson Colts 19.1 $8,000 $8,500
Sammy Watkins @ Eagles 17.9 $6,100 $7,200
Antonio Brown @ Bengals 16.3 $8,900 $9,300
Doug Baldwin @ Ravens 14.3 $4,500 $6,800
Martavis Bryant @ Bengals 13.4 $5,700 $7,400
Mike Evans Saints 13 $7,200 $8,000
Brandon Marshall Titans 11.9 $7,600 $8,200
Alshon Jeffery Redskins 11.7 $6,900 $7,500
A.J. Green Steelers 11.3 $7,900 $8,500
Jeremy Maclin Chargers 9.6 $5,500 $6,900
Jarvis Landry Giants 9.3 $6,300 $7,100
DeAndre Hopkins Patriots 6.3 $8,500 $8,700
Eric Decker Titans 6.2 $6,400 $7,300
Danny Amendola @ Texans 5.3 $5,200 $7,000
Allen Hurns Colts 4.3 $5,500 $6,600
DeVante Parker Giants 3.9 $4,000 $5,900
Demaryius Thomas Raiders 3.5 $6,800 $7,700
Calvin Johnson @ Rams 2.7 $7,400 $7,900
T.Y. Hilton @ Jaguars 2.6 $5,900 $7,000
Randall Cobb Cowboys 2.5 $6,300 $7,000
Tyler Lockett @ Ravens 2.4 $3,500 $5,600
Anquan Boldin @ Browns 2.3 $4,000 $5,900
Emmanuel Sanders Raiders 1.9 $5,900 $7,100

Odell Beckham Jr. is on fire and has five straight games surpassing 100 yards receiving and caught at least one touchdown in four of those five games. He's facing the Dolphins, and Football Outsiders ranks Miami dead last defending number-one receivers. It's easy to see why gamers flocked to OBJ in the FanDuel Thursday Mini Dive, and I'll be all over him in GPPs, too. Allen Robinson has been a stud this year and is coming off of a monster game, but I believe part of his ownership rate is due to the lemmings chasing last week's point totals, and there are other options I'd rather turn to in GPPs (not that I won't have some shares of A-Rob) including his teammate, Allen Hurns, who was just 4.3% owned. I'm a little less bullish on Sammy Watkins with his ownership rate exceeding what I expected, but the Eagles have struggled defending wide outs, and he and Taylor are showing off great chemistry since the Bills' bye week. Antonio Brown feels grossly under owned at under 20%. He's been unreal with Big Ben under center this year, and Adam Jones has ruled himself out for this week's AFC North showdown. As if I didn't love Brown before seeing the ownership rates, I'm head over heels over him now. Speaking of receivers from that game, A.J. Green is my second favorite even with the news that Tyler Eifert will likely play. Did you see the corners for the Steelers get barbecued a couple weeks ago by Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse? Green is a wee bit better than either of those receivers, and he already embarrassed the Steelers earlier in the year. Both Jets receivers, Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker make for strong stand-alone options or stack partners with Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitz is throwing to both regular, and the Titans are giving up fantasy points in bunches to wide outs this year. Jeremy Maclin has been targeted on more than 40% of Alex Smith's passes the last two weeks, and he's cooking with gasoline. The Chargers have been tough on wide outs this year, but Maclin's playing well and receiving volume, a combination that creates a high ceiling.

Tight End

TE Opp Ownership % DK Salary FD Salary
Greg Olsen Falcons 17.7 $6,900 $6,600
Delanie Walker @ Jets 15 $5,600 $6,100
Austin Seferian-Jenkins Saints 11.3 $2,700 $5,500
Tyler Eifert Steelers 7.4 $5,600 $6,300
Julius Thomas Colts 4.8 $4,200 $5,900
Travis Kelce Chargers 4.7 $4,700 $6,000
Gary Barnidge 49ers 1.3 $5,000 $6,200
Zach Miller Redskins 0.6 $2,700 $4,900

Greg Olsen is my favorite option at tight end this week, and I'm not alone. He's the number-one option for Cam Newton, and he ranks in the top 20 among all players in targets, receptions and receiving yards. Delanie Walker is the apple of Marcus Mariota's eye, but I'm not a huge fan of him this week against the Jets. The Jets have allowed the fourth fewest DraftKings points per game to tight ends and they're tied for the second fewest FanDuel points per game allowed to them. Austin Seferian-Jenkins isn't being slept on against the most fantasy-friendly defense for tight ends to face. The Saints are the only defense in the league that's allowed more than 1,000 yards receiving to tight ends, and no other defense has yielded even 900 yards receiving to them. Tyler Eifert, as I mentioned above, should be a go this weekend, and the Steelers haven't had many answers for tight ends this year. They've allowed eight touchdowns to tight ends and the ninth most DraftKings points per game and eighth most FanDuel points per game to them. I'm digging Zach Miller as a punt on DraftKings, and he's a fine punt on FanDuel, too, with Martellus Bennett placed on IR. Looking for a unique Blake Bortles' stack? Julius Thomas makes for a far lower owned stack partner than A-Rob, and a slightly lower owned option than Hurns.

Defense

DEF Opp Ownership % DK Salary FD Salary
Seahawks @ Ravens 17.7 $3,500 $5,300
Chiefs Chargers 15.3 $3,200 $4,800
Panthers Falcons 10 $3,400 $5,000
Broncos Raiders 8.4 $3,400 $5,400
Packers Cowboys 4.4 $3,200 $4,800
Lions @ Rams 4 $2,700 $4,700
Jets Titans 3 $3,200 $4,800
Jaguars Colts 1.7 $2,300 $4,300

If you think the ownership rate for the Seahawks is high on FanDuel, it should be over 20% on DraftKings thanks to their absurd salary there. Whether Matt "Pick-six" Schaub is starting or Jimmy Claussen faces the Seahawks for the second time this year, they're my favorite defense. The Chiefs are forcing nearly three turnovers per game during their six-game winning streak and they've been all over quarterbacks this year. They're my second favorite defense and the second highest owned. In the under 5% cluster, I like the Packers as big favorites and hosts to the Matt Cassel-led Cowboys. I'm also digging the Lions against Case Keenum and Co. Sure, it's Todd Gurley's offense, but it's a QB-driven league, and Keenum isn't an NFL-caliber starter. The Lions have been death to running games since their bye week, and when they keep Gurley in check, Keenum should award them some turnovers and sacks.

Really shocked at Druaghn's ownership level. While I love him for cash games and love him on DraftKings due to the whole point per reception, he really lacks upside. He is only averaging around 80 yards a game and has one score in all those touches all season.

I definitely understand your stance on Draughn's ceiling, Zach, but keep in mind he's faced the 3rd, 4th and 12th stingiest run defenses in terms of yards allowed rushing per game. He didn't make the most of his matchup with the Bears, but keep in mind their rushing yards allowed per game number hurt by the fluky Blaine Gabbert run and a few meltdown games. As a whole, they've held half of their opponents to under 100 yards rushing. This matchup should allow Draughn to pick up more rushing yardage than usual since the Browns can't stop anyone on the ground, and he still has his receiving skills to lean back on. I actually really like Draughn a lot in all game types this week.

I see your point with the match up but also remember that he is not very good. He was cut 6 times for a reason. I agree the volume is there for him and the ppr is nice but I don't think he goes over 100 yards.
