Hey guys just wanted to get your opinion on 2 lineups that I made for Week 6. I'm new to the DFS scene and I hope to get your feedback and insights on this lineup.

Also, any suggestions with regards to DFS game selection and the general corresponding lineup principle for each game type (50/50s and GPP)

Best of luck to everyone this week! Hoping to get that bankroll rolling!

First off, I want to say that I'm not particularly familiar with the Yahoo DFS site. Secondly, I'm a fan of the second lineup, but I would make sure of the status of Jeffery and Royal before playing Wilson again. If one (preferably both) are out, I'm a huge fan. I also love SSS this week. Looks like he'll likely suit up, and the matchup against the 49ers is ideal. I'm not a huge fan of Matthews, Riddick or the Titans D, but they could make for nice GPP plays.

To give you a basic overview, in cash games, you want to target players who have solid floor at each position. By that I mean you want to target players that are certain to get a volume number of snaps/carries/targets, depending on the position. In GPP contests (tournaments), it is fine to take a risk on a player that has big potential (like J. Matthews), but is also a somewhat risky play who could end up with a subpar performance. With team DEF, I want to target teams facing turnover-prone offenses, as well as teams that produce high sack numbers, that way if you lose FP on points allowed, you can still build a solid floor with sacks and turnovers. Hope this helps!

Have you played around with Colossus - https://www.dailyfantasycafe.com/tools/lineupoptimizer/nfl ? Each week thus far in 2015, Colossus goes with value at QB on Yahoo and it's due to their insanely high salaries for QB's. While there no steadfast rules in this respect, for what it's worth, EJ Manual is $20 and Colossus's first choice for QB this week on Yahoo. Mobile QB that frees up a ton of salary cap for you.

In terms of the above, I will second, the second lineup by bigitaly. If Jeffery goes, take a lower QB and fit in another stud at WR.

I suggest, starting in the Daily Academy for roster construction training:

Thanks for the input guys! I managed to tweak my lineups for Week 6 with Colossus and had a few good plays. Looking forward to next week; will be focusing on 50/50s for the meantime.
