TE Punts Week 5

Tight ends have really turned the corner in college football. Punting them is not the only option anymore and there are several names worth paying up for on an every week basis. One of those guys is Jaylen Samules of NC State. He has scored at least 20 points in every game this season and is actually more of an H-back than tight end. He actually has 9 rushes this season and is the Wolfpack's goal line back. If you are paying up on the early only slate he is the one I would pay up for.

If you decide to punt on the early slate there are a couple of names that jump out at me. I like Austin Traylor who has scored 3 straight games and had a least 20 yards in each game this season. At only 2300 he offers upside and a tad bit of safety. Another name I like is J.P. Holtz of Pitt. He has averaged 3 catches and 40 yards a game and offers great safety at 2600. Right at the cusp of the punt line for me at 2800 is Cam Serigne. Serigne has 16 catches this season and caught 54 as a freshman last year. He offers the most safety but does have a tough match up against Florida St.

For me personally I am paying up for Samules but if I was going to punt it would be Traylor in GPPs and Serigne in cash games.

Ryan Mallek has been decent so far this year for a guy at minimum price on FanDuel. He's found the endzone in 3 of his last 4 games and has had over 40 yards in 2 of last 3. Not going to set the world on fire but touchdown upside for sure. Only problem is Bucky Hodges is going to remain the #1 TE option for VA Tech so Mallek is a bit of a For'Mallek'ity (worst pun of all time [that was a formality pun if you're playing along at home])
