The First Tee at The Bridgestone Invitational (Firestone CC)

This past week's tournament was one of the most fun times I've had watching a golf tournament, and that is saying something. Billy Hurley III, the Navymen, the guy who hadn't won in 104 career starts, took home the Quicken Loans National, holding off PGA throwbacks in Vijay Singh and Ernie Els, and PGA new-jack, John Rahm, who was competing in his first tournament as a professional. I could write an entire article dedicated to why his victory was fun, humbling and more than anything, “fair". I'll sum it up with the quote I used in my column last week
