With the average salary for DraftKings being $8,333, you really need to nail the players who offer you salary relief. This week, due to the large field with elite players at the top, there are quite a few directions you can go in. I have listed the players below that I will be targeting to bring up the caboose for my squads.
Hideki Matsuyama ($8,000)
For the Masters Milly Maker, Matsuyama was THEE difference maker for not only the winner, but many of the teams in the top 50. He is a ball-striker du jour, and has the mental toughness to run deep and win a major. Of the four, The US Open and The PGA Championship fit his skillset the best, but he has been impressive at all the big events, finishing 5th at The Masters, 17th at The Players, and 20th at the US and British Opens. Considering he has excelled on links courses, I cannot find a reason why this week would be any different. Matsuyama is providing salary relief and has a good chance of notching his first major victory…I will not be surprised if he is < 30% owned.
