Cash games typically reward high floor rosters. You don't need to score 60 points on FanDuel or 160 on DraftKings to win money. Instead, you should aim for a nice base of around 40 and 120 points, respectively. Our MLB Cash Game Picks will highlight the top pick and a value pick at each position for both platforms.

Can't say enough great things about Matt Harvey. Because there are so many metrics and factors that go into a pitcher's upside and floor, I typically lean on Las Vegas. Las Vegas is calling Harvey an elite play tonight opening as a -175 favorite in a total under seven. He faces a weak opponent in the Marlins, pitching in a pitchers's park. You won't find a higher ceiling, higher floor option today.

Francisco Liriano is always one of my favorite options any night he plays. He has a great ground-ball rate, strikeout upside, and in tonight's case, a pitcher's park working in his favor. The Padres struggled with Burnett most of last night, and I look for a bigger struggle against a “fanner" such as Liriano. Vegas likes this game to be low scoring, which boosts my liking for Liriano. Great SP2 for dual pitcher sites.

Russell Martin is always an elite cash game option when the Jays are facing a bad pitcher. The Blue Jays, when fully healthy, are one of the most explosive offenses in all of baseball. They can put four-to-five runs on you before getting out of an inning. One of my favorite things to do with my cash games is to target catchers on teams just like this. An above average wOBA and ISO as well as batting fifth in this potent offense makes Martin an elite play.

David Ortiz versus a right-handed pitcher is gold for me in cash games. His price on FanDuel is elite at $2.6k and is my top value option there. A Career .410 wOBA and .282 ISO at a depressed price is a great way to get high upside and value from an elite hitter. This season, Ortiz has seen more intentional walks due to Hanley struggling. Well, Hanley went yard yesterday and will hopefully prevent intentional walks for Papi.

Jose Abreu is simply still underpriced on FanDuel. He is another pivot off of David Ortiz if you do have the salary left over. A career .391 wOBA and .247 ISO paired with him being locked in recently makes him a fantastic play on a big slate.

This will be the first of two Twins in this article. Dozier is locked in currently and is facing a bad lefty. He owns a .373 wOBA and .222 ISO historically. This is also a bad lefty – don't get fancy play syndrome, Dozier is your top second base option.

An interesting pivot tonight is Ben Zobrist batting in the top of the Athletics order. They have cooled since the start of the season, but have also seen their BABIP decrease while still hitting the ball hard. Zobrist makes for a much cheaper salary play against a below average pitcher in an aggressive, unlucky offense over the past 14 days.

And here is your second Twins option tonight against Buehrle. While his stats might not be as shiny as Dozier, a .356 wOBA and .211 ISO is nothing to laugh at. Especially when these stats come at a significantly decreased price tag. All my lineups tonight will start with Harvey and Plouffe.

Is there a hotter shortstop in baseball right now? I would have to strongly say NO. He has 14 hits over his last 10 games and gives you the high floor you need. He will be playing in a hitter's park against a pitcher who has implode on more than one occasion. In case you haven't been following baseball, the Nationals are one of the hottest teams in baseball. I have a strong hunch we will see the bullpen early and will result in a big outing from a couple Nationals bats with Desmond leading the way.

If you are pivoting off of Desmond, you will want cheap, explosive and speed in your player. Not to mention Galvis has all of these as well as a plus matchup versus weak right-handed pitcher Chad Bettis. While his stats aren't eye popping, he is turning the corner and will see his price increase over its current value. I love Galvis as a value option as long as he is batting in top half of order.

Did I mention earlier that Hanley got his first home run in what seems like years? If you have been watching Hanley he seems frustrated at the plate, which is likely a confidence issue. Going deep can help gain your confidence back, which he desperately needed. The great part about this is that there is no “confidence model" in a pricing algorithm, therefore leaving Hanley extremely underpriced on FanDuel. He is my top outfield option on FanDuel tonight.

Power, speed, hitter's ballpark, inconsistent pitcher. If I told you I have a hitter who meets all those requirements would you be interested? Well if you are, Carlos Gomez makes for a fantastic option against Rubby De La Rosa tonight. Historically, he boasts a .349 wOBA and .193 ISO against right-handed pitching. He has stolen base upside, home run upside and a team that is finally starting to hit the ball well. Play Gomez with confidence.

I'm all over Harvey, and Plouffe is such an undervalued commodity when facing a southpaw.

Liriano definitely has the upside, his walk rate and efficiency scares me though. I wish I could roster about 3-4 second baseman tonight.

Freddy G on pace for about 250 hits !

I'm 100% on Dozier/Plouffe for cash games. Love it.
