What a week, what a week! Max Scherzer was priced at $14,000 on DraftKings this week, or 4.25 Gregor Blancos if you are looking for the Spanish DrafKings exchange rate. Michael Pineda had a blowup for the DFS ages, and Edwin Encarnacion is alive, alive I tell you. It is the last Sunday of the month, so you know what that means. The monthly dong report, but before we get to the numbers, we have some sad news. The dong leader, Giancarlo Stanton, will be on the shelf 4-6 weeks with a broken bone in his hand. Could he swing one handed and hit for a higher average than Mike Napoli, probably, but Miami will proceed with caution. So pour one for my homie Giancarlo.

June Dong Breakdown

Can you believe we are already at the end of June? The All-star break is just a few weeks away, and the Astros remain the AL West leaders. Hold!! Even with two days remaining, June brought 688 dongs, actually almost 150 shy of May's total. What gives June? Those AL West leading Astros hit the most dongs this month, with 42, while the Braves once again finish last with 12.

June did bring four double-digit dong players, J.D. Martinez, Albert Pujols, Nolan Arenado, and Stanton. Stanton and Pujols tied with 12. Madison Bumgarner just went yard, so he is in on the June dong action. Stanton topped the rankings yet again with a 484 foot homer off Carlos Martinez, and then had a 484 foot homer earlier in the month. Joc Pederson was not far behind with a 480 foot blast, earlier in the month. The smallest dong of the month goes to Mark Teixeira, at just 334 feet. One of those cheap Yankee Stadium homers. Lets take a look at a Stanton smash shall we?

I Paid $14,000 For This?

Max Scherzer is on a historical run, before his start against the Phillies, he allowed two baserunners in the previous two starts. He flirted with back to back perfect games, but settled for a no-hitter. He continued his dominance, with eight innings, allowing two earned, and striking out seven. He had a solid start, but really that's it? I was guaranteed double-digit strikeouts, a complete game, and another run at a perfect game. Instead I see Ben Revere go yard. It's the Phillies Scherzer, just look at them.

MadBum Goes Ham

The Padres are who we thought they were, they have become the strikeout machines and DFS targets of 2014 yet again. Madison Bumgarner came and hurled 14 strikeouts over 7.2 innings, yet scuffled just enough to allow the Padres to tie the game. He ended up with 19.33 FanDuel points, and 36.8 DraftKings points. Not too shabby for a pitcher without a win.

Clayton Kershaw Has Been Ousted As DFS' Top Pitcher

Clayton Kershaw has an ERA in the threes, and has not been timely in executing his best pitches. He is 5-6 on the season, and I demand a price reduction from the industry. Why isn't Wei-Yin Chen over $10,000? He has a 2.90 ERA and takes care off business on the mound. This vine says it all, a 1-2 hanging curveball has happened entirely too often. Am I overreacting? Sure, but isn't that what everyone does in DFS?

DraftKings Caught Stealing Deductions

Where do you stand on caught stealing resulting in negative points? It is kind of odd that strikeouts still result in zeroes, while taking a risk results in -2. It is a very deflating occurrence, as your batter reaches base, three points, and then a caught stealing happens, and bam down to just one point. Would you rather see strikeouts punished, and caught stealing taken away, keep it as is, or both punished?
