Welcome to MLB GPP Stacking & Ownership. In this article I will give you three options to stack. Remember that winning a GPP isn't always about maximizing points but instead maximizing some form of points and ownership. As always, plays will be listed from favorite to least favorite of the stack.

If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times. I am a huge fan of full slates that don't consist of Coors Field or don't consist of a multitude of pitching options. Tonight constitutes with both of those factors as Colorado is playing in the desert and the only true stud we have on the mound tonight in a good matchup is Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw creates a very interesting dynamic. With no inflated Coors Field game and him possibly outscoring the the second highest scoring pitcher by over 5-6 FanDuel points, it may make sense to have Kershaw be your anchor. On the contrary, he will have an incredibly high ownership in GPPs, think 30-40% in 30k-plus entry tournaments if not more.

Personally, I think this is the one night where you run a 50%/50% split if you are multi-entering GPPs. I would run 50% of my lineups with Kershaw and then 50% of my lineups without Kershaw. The 50% without Kershaw need to consist of high upside cheap options. Think pitchers such as, Justin Masterson or Michael Wacha, possibly stretching it with Trevor Bauer. This is less about the selection and more about what using a cheap high upside pitcher does for your GPP lineup. On FanDuel, if Kershaw pitches an eight inning, 10 strikeout, one earned run game that is 17 fantasy point outing without the win. If you can save $4,000 and obtain a seven innings, five strikeouts, with two earned runs and a win you have a 14 fantasy point outing.

Lots of strategy considering there is only one true pitcher to use. I'll leave you with this, if you are paying up for a pitcher, look at Kershaw, if you aren't spending a large portion of your salary on Kershaw it needs to be a significant discount.

Now that we have our game strategy in place, let us get to stacking!

I like that Steve Pearce is 2B eligible on DK, it adds a nice option in the stack.
