Welcome to MLB GPP Stacking & Ownership. In this article I will give you three options to stack. Remember that winning a GPP isn't always about maximizing points but instead maximizing some form of points and ownership. As always, plays will be listed from favorite to least favorite of the stack.

STACK COORS! Just kidding – you read my articles and you know that winning GPPs is about a combination of points and ownership. Coors Field exploded last night in the first inning for eight runs. The big names all hit home runs and were atop some of the GPP winners last night. Tonight is a new night and recency bias means that Angels and Rockies will be even higher owned than they were last night. The combination of last night's high scoring night by the Angels and the fact it's Coors, it makes for a picture perfect fade.

Given the fact we are fading Coors with the rest of the world playing it, we will want to gain a competitive advantage elsewhere. Clayton Kershaw is the clear top option as a -380 favorite. The biggest favorite in three years to be recorded. He is a candidate to be voted into the All-Star game and I believe he shows up in a major way tonight, showing the world why he has won the Cy Young Award. While his stats may not have been off the charts this season, he is still the best pitcher in baseball.

I love being able to play a best pitcher in baseball at what I will assume is under 15% ownership. On FanDuel, I think it makes sense to play Kershaw on 100% of your GPP lineups and thank the 85% of people who did not play him. He offers a very big advantage on a slate with a Coors game. DFS players who play Coors won't have remaining salary to play Kershaw, instead they will risk it with a medium priced pitcher. If Coors does not go off, they are hoping a below average pitcher can match Kershaw (not happening). I hope you can see the domino affect that happens by fading chalk and playing a player at a competitive advantage.

By playing Kershaw you will still have to get “tricky" with how you construct lineups. Tonight might be a night to run out some 4-4 stacks on FD and play top of one team bottom of another or a combination of both. Maybe on DK you run out 3-3-2 stacks instead of the always-famous six-man stack.

When I tell you the dynamic Kershaw creates on a Coors slate is huge believe it. We have the best pitcher in baseball who most DFS players believe isn't worth his price pitching on the same night of a Coors Field game that exploded the previous night. Regardless of what you do, make sure you are thinking about ownership and game theory when constructing lineups. If I play X player how does it impact Y and so on and so forth.

My grandfather once said every action has a re-action. Think of your player selections as the action and the possible results as your re-action. Determine your favorite re-action and profit!

Now, without further ado, here are the teams I will be stacking tonight!

Option 1

Athletics @ Yankees – Game Total of 8.5

The Oakland Athletics disappointed last night as I loved them as a stack against Nathan Eovaldi. Tonight, they face off against ...
