The Seahawks are not dead yet. While Russell Wilson is stealing the headlines of late, the defense is playing quite well, too. In Week 13, they held the Vikings to just seven points and 125 yards of offense. Nope, that's not a typo, just 125 yards of offense from Adrian Peterson and company at home. This week, they face an injury-depleted Ravens offense that's led by Matt "Pick-six" Schaub. The veteran quarterback has made two starts for the Ravens and, remarkably, thrown a pick-six in each game. He's done so against the lowly defenses of the Browns and the Dolphins. The Seahawks are considerably better. Schaub has orchestrated a whopping 33 points of offense in two games as the starter, and the offense's ineptitude was overshadowed with two special teams scores in Week 12. That would be a paltry scoring total against good defenses, and the Browns and Dolphins feature terrible defenses. The Browns have allowed the second most points per game this year (28.9) and the Dolphins have surrendered the ninth most points per game (25.0). If they thought scoring was tough the last two weeks, good luck this week against the Seahawks. They rank as the third stingiest defense in terms of points allowed per game. The Seahawks are an easy pick as the best defense this week.
