Big Ben gets top cash game option for me despite, what on paper, is not the best of matchup. The Bengals have given up the second fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season at 14.16 depending on what site you play, but those numbers are very misleading. In the past six weeks, they have not faced but one quality quarterback and got torched in that game. In their game against Carson Palmer, the Bengals allowed 317 yards and four scores. The other quarterbacks they faced in those six weeks go by the names of T.J. Yates, Johnny Manziel, Austin Davis and Nick Foles. All of those players are fringe NFL quarterbacks at best and like Palmer, Big Ben is a superstar. Roethlisberger also happens to be the hottest quarterback in the NFL with four straight games over 300 yards. Ben also has 10 touchdowns in that time frame and scored over 22 fantasy points in each game. I do not care who the Steelers are playing right now, as their offense cannot be stopped.

Just hand Cam Newton the MVP trophy. Newton has just been downright amazing this season and is one of your top cash game plays weekly. His floor is just elite with his ability to run the ball. Newton is like having a running back as your quarterback as he is averaging close to 40 yards rushing a game and has seven rushing scores on the season. He is also getting it done through the air with 25 passing scores and 233 yards a game. He has been especially great through the air the past three weeks where he has two games with five passing touchdowns in each game. The Falcons are only allowing 14.97 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks on the season but allow the most fantasy points to running backs per game and have not faced a quarterback of the quality of CAMVP this season.

You know the drill by now, queue up the quarterback facing the Saints. The Saints are an awful defense that allows 25.44 fantasy points to quarterbacks per game which is by far the most in the NFL. They lead that category by almost four points and have been especially bad over the past six weeks. In that time frame, the Saints are allowing 319 passing yards per game and four passing touchdowns. This week, they face another quarterback who can just flat out play in Famous Jameis. Winston has been better than advertised this season and has hit 2x value in every game this season which is what you look for in a cash game quarterback. He is averaging 18 fantasy points per game and has scored 19 or more in two of his past three games. While I do not love Winston's price on FanDuel where he is priced as a top-10 quarterback and only $500 less than Big Ben, but on DraftKings, where he is only $500 above site minimum, he is a steal in this matchup.

Quarterback is loaded this week with a lot of great quarterbacks facing bad defenses and TYGOD is one of those quarterbacks. This week, Taylor gets to face the Eagles, and they trail only the Saints in allowing fantasy points to the position with 21.88. They have been especially bad over the past three weeks and are allowing 32.97 fantasy points over that time frame, which is by far worst in the NFL. They have allowed 13 passing touchdowns in that time frame and 895 yards. Taylor has been consistent when healthy all season and has averaged 20 fantasy points per game this season. He has been great over the past two weeks now that he is fully healed with seven total scores and 55.48 fantasy points. He is cheap across the industry and will likely go under owned this week but deserves to be in your lineup.

Russell Wilson (QB) Seattle Seahawks

It's hard to say who is hotter, Big Ben or Wilson. Wilson has scored over 25 fantasy points in each of the past three weeks and has gone over 34 the past two. He has thrown 13 touchdown passes in those games and has run for a score as well. He gets a great matchup against the Ravens. They allow 19.22 fantasy points per game and have allowed 244 passing yards per game which is 19th in the NFL. While Wilson is hot and the Ravens are a horrible defense, I cannot put Wilson in cash games due to the fact he may not be asked to do much. The Ravens are a horrible offense with all their injuries to that unit and while the spread is not out yet for the Seahawks, they are sure to be huge favorites. The only question really is how huge.

I gave you Bortles last week for cash games, and he did not disappoint with five passing touchdowns and 32.78 fantasy points. While I love Bortles in cash this week once again, I just could not ignore the other players I mentioned above him, but I could not leave Bortles out this week against the Colts. The Colts are not very good against the pass and got crushed by Big Ben for 364 yards and four scores last week. For the season the Colts have allowed the seventh most fantasy points to quarterbacks with 19.88 and have allowed the third most passing yards per game with 280. Bortles had a huge 298 yard, 19 fantasy point game against the Colts earlier in the year and I expect better numbers from Bortles this week.

Tannehill stunk up the joint last week with his new offensive coordinator who forced the run too much last week and only called 19 pass plays. That should change this week against a Giants team that allows the most passing yards per game in the NFL at 315 which is 28 more than the next place team. They also allow the fourth most fantasy points to the position on the season at 20.96 and have been especially bad over the past five weeks. In that time frame they have allowed four out of their five opponents to throw for at least 300 yards and have allowed 12 passing scores. I think this week the Dolphins air it out more than last week and Tannehill scores closer to 20 fantasy points than 10.

Blaine Gabbert (QB), San Francisco 49ers

$6,400 $5,100 1.42 2.08 263 1.42 58.9 20

I will admit I do not feel good about this pick, but not because of the way Gabbert is playing, but simply because it is Blaine Gabbert. Many people, including myself, thought Gabbert was a horrible player and a first-round bust when he played for the Jags, but he has found new life with the 49ers. In his four starts with them, Gabbert has not scored below 16 fantasy points and is averaging almost 19 a game. He gets a terrific matchup against a very weak Browns secondary. The Browns allow 20.21 fantasy points per game and 263 passing yards. They are also tied for the third most passing touchdowns allowed this season with 25. While I am still waiting for Gabbert to go back to being an awful quarterback, at his very affordable price he is worth a look in GPPs as a low-owned contrarian play.

I'm all over this group. I especially love Cam/Big Ben/Wilson/Taylor and Winston.

Love the Big Ben and Taylor picks. Wondering if Eli has a high enough ceiling for GPPs this week? Miami's pass defense has been very poor this year and Beckham is an elite WR. My concern would be the Giants being a one trick pony with OBJ being their only real threat.
zachsgotmoxy
I like Eli but he is a one trick pony with OBJ. Something happens to him and the Giants crumble.

Wilson and Tyrod are my favorites for this week.
