Welcome back to the Optimal Lineup post for DraftKings.

Well Week 5 was a mixed bag seeing some of the lineups get in the green in cash games, while falling short, or very very short everywhere else. If you used the optimizers initial recommendation of the Steelers stack which is truly safe Every.Single. Week at this point and rolled with the Giants you may have been scratching your head ferociously, or swearing at your electronic devices screen.

Seriously how did Eli Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. not destroy the Packers secondary? I guess we will never know, and clearly not everything is predictable, especially in the NFL.

Otherwise many of the optimized picks panned out with Roethlisberger, Brown, Riddick, and Zach Miller. Others fell very short of expectations and value with McKinnon, Beckham Jr, and Rudolph falling in that group.

I would like to guarantee victories in Week 6, but won't do that. What I will do is trust the optimizer once again and trust that a three week streak will not happen and we will all profit *insert evil laugh here*.

Let's forge ahead and see if we can't build some lineups that will win across the board again this week! This week I used the NFL Players Targets and Touches tool on dailyfantasycafe.com which is a fantastic way to dig deeper if you want to do some of your own research.

I can assure our tools here at DFC will help DFS players at every single level. Each week I will be covering an optimal lineup which is generated from our Optimal Lineup tool for both a Cash game (50/50 and Double Up contests) and a GPP game (Tournaments or leagues). Good luck everyone!

The quarterbacks of choice this week seem to be Drew Brees or Cam Newton. The top lineup however uses Brees and with the way the Panthers secondary is playing I can see why 100%. Brees should be firing on all cylinders especially coming off the bye week.

This week the lineups seem to shift gears and focus more on a very top heavy running back lineup. Le'Veon Bell had 9 catches on 11 targets in Week 5 while Riddick again did most of his damage in the air as well with 6 receptions in Week 5.

Tavon Austin (10 targets) and Kenny Britt (6 targets) are the receivers paired with Baldwin. Oddly enough both of these guys are on the same team facing Detroit in Week 6. If you want to take this risk I am fine with that, but in cash games I may not be as willing to roll both Rams out there. The GPP Lineup has a few options to mix this one up as well.

Doug Baldwin also coming off of a Bye week with hopefully a healthier and more mobile Russell Wilson should meet value at a great price.

Zach Miller has done nothing but produce so far and seems to be a favorite target of Brian Hoyer in Chicago. I can't help but feel he will fall back to earth soon, but for now you can't pass up his production to price.

The GPP optimized lineup has many of the same big names with the additions of Jeremy Kerley (13 targets with 8 receptions) coming off a big game and is becoming a larger part of their offense. Zach Ertz and Carlos Hyde also break in and Hyde gets the volume and workload against a tough Bills defense. He is likely going to be owned less in GPP contests due to this, and will still produce and had 6 targets last week as well so he is a sneaky play modestly priced.

DFC GPP Stack for DraftKings

The optimizer uses the Steelers as a stack once again and I have no qualms with this at all. Last week using them paid off in every way where as the more creative Giants stack disappointed to say the least.

The combination of Freeman and Riddick who will do damage in the passs game as well as running the ball are nice additions to Le'Veon Bell. Kenny Britt and Tavon Austin reappear in this one as well, but with this stack I may be more inclined to let it ride as they are the only real risk players aside from the Bears defense.

This week much like DST as of late I will not go against the optimizer stack. When it is these three especially who can argue?
