1. Matt Hasselbeck (Colts) – Shoulder & Neck Injury

Colts at Jaguars (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

The big injury of the week comes from the Sunday night game where the Colts lost their 40 year old backup quarterback to various injuries. Hasselbeck was removed from the game in the 4th quarter when the game was out of hand and it remains to be seen if he would have stayed in if the Colts had a chance of winning. He was in obvious pain and if he is unable to go this week Clipboard Jesus aka Charlie Whitehurst will pick up the start. Whitehurst is a career backup who has minimal starts in the NFL but would get a decent match-up against the Jags. The Jags are allowing 265 passing yards per game and have allowed 24 passing touchdowns. At site minimum on both sites Whitehurst may be worth a flier in a GPP.

2. C.J. Anderson (Broncos) – Ankle Injury

Broncos vs Raiders (Sunday, 4:05 PM ET)

Anderson had finally broken out of his slump a week ago and was running great to start the game. Anderson had 8 touches for 54 yards before being removed in the second quarter. There are reports that it was precautionary measure as the Broncos were just shell shacking the undermanned Chargers. We will find out more about Anderson during the week but if he is not able to go Ronnie Hillman will get the majority of the carriers. The Broncos back field was a time share to begin with and Hillman has proved all season to be a more than capable back. The Raiders are a mid-tier running defense who allow 106.7 yards per game. This is a situation to watch during the week as any running back who is in line for 20 plus touches is worth consideration.

3. Dontrelle Inman (Chargers) – Neck Injury

Chargers at Chiefs (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

The Chargers receiving core suffered another injury this week and this one was scary. Dontrelle Inman who was replacing Keenan Allen and Stevie Johnson had to be carted off the field on a stretcher. Inman has a history of concussions but the good news is initial tests indicators are showing good signs. Inman is out for at least this next week and the Chargers will likely be starting wide outs off the street next week against a tough Chiefs team that dismantled them three weeks ago. This is a passing game that I will be avoiding for at least this week and most likely the rest of the season.

4. Travis Benjamin (Browns) – Shoulder Injury

Browns vs 49ers (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Travis Benjamin had to leave the game early against the Bengals and finished the game with 0 catches on 2 targets. The extend of Benjamin's injury remains to be seen and he can be considered questionable for next Sunday's game against the 49ers. Benjamin is the deep threat for the Browns and if he is not able to play Brain Hartline will pick up some extra targets. Hartline is more of a move the chains slot player for the Browns. He has been excellent over the past three weeks with 22 catches for 234 yards. The 49ers are an excellent match-up for wide outs as they allow the 5th most DraftKings points to wide outs per game with 32.5. Hartline is a great streaming option this week regardless of Benjamin's injury but will get a big boost if Benjamin sits out.

5. Crockett Gillmore (Ravens)– Back Injury

Ravens vs Seahawks (Sunday, 1:00 PM ET)

Another week and another Ravens injury. This week it was their starting tight end who went down with a back injury. Gillmore has been a second tier tight end this season and will be a big loss for the Ravens. The Ravens have announced that they do not know how bad Gillmore is hurt or if he would have to miss any time but if he does miss time the Ravens may be short handed at tight end. Maxx Williams their second round pick was out last game with a concussion and it remains to be seen if he will be cleared for what is a great match-up against the Seahawks. The Seahawks have struggled all year against tight ends and have allowed the 6th most DraftKings points to the position per game with 13.39. As things sit right now the Ravens are a team that I will be streaming defenses against as they are down to backups in every position.
