Welcome back to Stacking to Win it. In this article I will give you my top stacks of the week. I will give you my top two stacks to consider, a value stack and a team that I feel is flying under the radar to consider.

There are several teams that could have easily made this list that didn't make it. The Patriots, Falcons, Seahawks and Panthers all have team totals over 26 points. Of those four, I like the Patriots and Falcons the best.

Top Stack 1

Raiders @ Lions- Team Total 24.8

I love the Raiders this week. They have everything you look for in a top stack. They have a high point total in a game that is scheduled to be a shootout. Their passing attack is also on fire. Derek Carr, over the past four weeks, has been lights out. In that time frame, he is averaging 306 yards a game and has 13 touchdown passes. He has not scored below 19 fantasy points in that time frame. His top target has been Michael Crabtree who did not have a great game last week but had three straight games with at least 15 fantasy points. In those three weeks, he had at least six catches in each game, four touchdowns and had two games above 100 yards receiving. He leads the Raiders in targets and is still cheap for his production across all sites. Amari Cooper has not been as great in that time frame but has been effective. He has three out of four games with at least 75 receiving yards and 10 fantasy points. The matchup is excellent as well. The Lions give up 29 points a game and 260 passing yards. The Raiders are the stack I want this week.

Top Stack 2

Cardinals vs Bengals - Team Total 25.5

Just a step down from the Raiders for me this week is the Cardinals. The Cardinals have a higher team total than the Raiders but do have a tougher matchup. They face the Bengals, who are only allowing 236 passing yards and 16.9 points per game. Despite the matchup, Carson Palmer and his stud wide outs should still have good games. First, this is a revenge game for Palmer who hated playing for the Bengals so much he retired until he was traded. Palmer has been excellent this season. He is second in the NFL in passing touchdowns and has not scored below 17 fantasy points all season. He has plenty of stud targets. Michael Floyd is my favorite of the bunch. He has four straight games with a score and two straight with over 100 yards receiving. He did miss practice on Thursday, so his injury status bears watching. Larry Fitzgerald is the second wide receiver I want in this stack. He has at least 10 fantasy points in all but 1 game this season and at least 80 receiving yards in all but two. If you are fading the very popular Raiders, the Cardinals are a place I would look.

Value Stack

Lions vs Raiders - Team Total 23.3

The Lions are favorite values of mine facing the Raiders. I have already talked about how this game is setting up to be a shootout and for a shootout you need a second team to put up points. The Lions should have no problem putting them up against a weak Raiders secondary. The Raiders give up the second most passing yards per game at 293 and allow 26.8 points per game. They really struggle against tight ends. They allow the most fantasy points per game to the position and have allowed a score to a tight end in all but one game this season. The Raiders also just lost Aldon Smith, one of their top defenders for a year due to suspension. The Lions have a non existence running and will need to pass a bunch in this one. Matthew Stafford is averaging 330 yards and 3 touchdowns in his past two home games. His top wide out is Megatron once again this year. Calvin Johnson has four straight games with over 80 yards and is still one of the top players at his position. Add in Eric Ebron to the mix and you have a stack that will not cost you a ton but should pay off big time.

Contrarian Stack

Broncos at Bears - Team Total 22.5

An under owned team that I am looking at is the Broncos once again this week. I really do not know how good Brock Osweiler is going to be, but I do know he has a big arm and some of the top skill position players in the NFL. He did not look awful in his first significant playing time in his career. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders both have big-game potential. They both have five games with over 85 receiving yards and can find pay dirt on any play. The Bears are not as bad a defense as they were in the beginning of the year but are still beatable. This is a gut call but I like both wide outs to find the end zone this week and for Brock to have over 300 yards passing.

That Raiders stack is downright luscious.

All over the Raiders stack, and with Adam Jones out I dig the Cards call.
Its starting to look like the contrarian play is to look at the "elite," or luscious stacks and go against them. Most of the above were disappointing this week and over many weeks. This is why stacks are dangerous and don't generally pay off. See Raiders as the number 1 case. You basically played yourself out of money using any of the above. Sorry, but there hasn't been anything to this point that would lead me to pay for this service. That is across the board. Common sense tends to lead to better results.
