We are looking ahead at week 10, to find the elite matchups for wide receivers against corners. Using Pro Football Focus's ratings as a base, we are able to get an advanced look at what matchups we can take advantage of. They matchups are broken down into the top tier matchups, middle tier matchups, and matchups to fade. Now the opposing cornerback may not always be on the highlighted receiver, but this is a look at who the highlighted receiver will likely see most of the game. Not every number one cornerback covers the opposing team's wide receiver. They usually stay on their side of the field, and on occasion can shadow a number one. I will continue to edit it during the week, if there is given news of a switch in matchups.

A.J. Green - The Monday Night Football game will feature two top tier matchups, and A.J. Green is one of them. Cincinnati has been a consistent offense, but not consistent in the fantasy world. It seems to either be A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, or the ground game to do the damage. Green will have an excellent matchup this week, and if you are throwing him in some tournaments, the matchup should have you feeling good.

Allen Robinson - Allen Robinson surprised me last week, while he did not find the end zone, he did put up over 100 yards. Robinson has an A- matchup this week, as the Jags take on one of the worst secondaries in football. Robinson will see Kyle Arrington, who ranks as 98th among corners, per PFF. Allen Hurns has a favorable matchup as well, but is dealing with a sprained foot. His status is uncertain, so hold off on the full blown Jags' stack.

Antonio Brown - Coming off of a historic outing, Antonio Brown will have another matchup to exploit. Of course, Landry Jones is now throwing to him, which complicates things, but Tramon Williams has been nothing more than average this season. Matchup wise, things are looking good, but there is certainly more to the Brown play this week.

Dez Bryant - 5-104-1 seems like Dez Bryant is back, and healthy. His C+ grade is to be taken lightly, so he is in the elite matchup category. He faces Sterling Moore this week, who is the 59th ranked corner, per PFF. Matchup wise, I am all over this one, even with Matt Cassel under center. I do believe there are safer plays around the price range, making him more reserved for tournaments.

Randall Cobb - It has been a while since Randall Cobb has had a big game, really since Kansas City. He is coming off a surprising 4-99-1 line, against a tough defense. Green Bay matches up against Detroit this week, really creating positive matchups for all the wideouts, but Cobb especially. Josh Wilson ranks 90th among corners, and has struggled all season long. For just $6,700 on DraftKings this week, his price tag adds to him being a top play.

Michael Crabtree - I know we all love Amari Cooper, who also has a solid matchup, but at these prices, you can not beat the Michael Crabtree play. He is ranked as the 11th best wide receiver, per player grading, coming off a monster 7-108-2 line. Crabtree has another positive matchup against, Xavier Rhodes. Rhodes continues to be exploited by opposing teams, and expect the Oakland passing attack to be in high volume again.

DeAndre Hopkins - If things lineup the way it should, Dre Kirkpatrick will see Hopkins, and Kirkpatrick is the 108th ranked corner in the league. Ouch. Cincinnati's defense is tough, and I do worry about giving Hoyer enough time, but regardless, Hopkins will get his usual targets. There are plenty of high end receivers with great matchups this week, and Hopkins is another.

Stefon Diggs - We saw the running games take over last week, but Diggs also had a tough matchup with Janoris Jenkins. He was held to three catches, for 42 yards. Now if Teddy Bridgewater is back, I like Diggs even more, especially with this matchup. David Amerson has a D- ranking, which is no shocker from how he has played this season, trying to control teams WR1's.

Willie Snead - This game is going to be interesting, and looking at these two secondaries, both passing games should have big days. However, both teams do not have a consistent threat in the passing game, so the floors are fairly low on both sides for some of these players. Willie Snead has had back-to-back weeks of solid lines, even without him finding the end zone last week. he has an excellent matchup, and he just missed a B- matchup grade. Brandin Cooks has also had some consistency late, and is also in a similar matchup grade.

DeSean Jackson - You probably did not notice, but DeSean Jackson did play last week. He has been out with the hamstring injury for most of the season, so you can excuse the F grade PFF has, unless you just truly dislike the guy. If you are looking for a true, and I mean true, tournament play, Jackson could be worth a look. Brandon Browner is the 110th rated CB, and if you have been watching Saints' games, he looks awful. Jackson is that home run threat, and he should be a low owned play for week 10. The matchup is there, if you want to take that risk.

Alshon Jeffery - 28 catches in the last three games, and over 100 yards in each as well, Alshon Jeffery can not be stopped. This will be a test for both Janoris Jenkins, and Jeffery this week. This is an intriguing matchup, because we saw Jason Verett have short term success against Jeffrey, but we do not know how he would of held up over the course of the game. Jenkins is the 13th rated CB in the NFL, and is a corner that puts doubt in your mind when selecting opposing wideouts.

Mike Evans - Consistency, and catching the ball both tie into the Mike Evans play here. Two of the last three games he has gone off for over 100 yards, and eight catches in each game. There is also 3-48-0 line right smack dab in the middle of those two games. Evans is going to have another matchup for us to target this week, seeing Morris Claiborne. He is the 93rd ranked corner, and should see plenty of targets his way again. His DK price makes me even more enticing.

Odell Beckham Jr. - OBJ was another wideout to not find the end zone in week 9, but still had an impressive line, although with his price tags, we need the touchdown. He has an average matchup for week 10, against Malcolm Butler. He is an average corner, but we do know the Pats like to take away a team's best weapon, and they are good at doing so. The Pats have two of the top rated safeties in the game, and could make it a tough day for OBJ.

Demaryius Thomas - Matchup-wise, I am all over this one, despite a C grade. Thomas had an 8-116-0 line against the Chiefs earlier this season, but it was Emmanuel Sanders who had two touchdowns. Both have equal matchups this week, with Sean Smith, and Marcus Peters receiving C grades. Both matchups are there, but can we trust "noodle arm."

Julian Edelman - While Edelman could have a similar line to last week (5-55-1), that would not pay off his high price tags. He will have a tough matchup against Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who is ranked the 8th best graded corner. I can't see him paying off his price tag this week, and with so many other options around him with better matchups, I would heavily lean in their favors. I expect to see a big Gronk week, alongside the run game.

Jarvis Landry - Malcolm Jenkins has covered slot-men this season, and Jenkins is rated the best safety this season. This is not a great matchup for Landry, and for a guy who hardly finds the end zone, I will stay away. His price has crept up to a range around more elite options. Jenkins is questionable for Sunday's game, with a concussion, if he can't go, you can take Landry out of the fade column.

Nate Washington - Last week's popular value play should be everything but that this week. He will face Adam "Pacman" Jones this week, who is the fourth ranked corner in football. Lining up on his sides will not due wonders for his upside this week, nor his floor.

Awesome article Jason; I definitely see this settling this or that debates for line up construction later this week.

Great job! I really like Robinson this week.
zachsgotmoxy
Hard not to like the Jags passing game as a whole.

Thanks guys, and I agree Robinson is one of my favorite targets this week.
wait, diddn't cole beasley just toast the eagles from the slot? you're not on landry this week? eagles also rank poorly against opposing WR's in terms of fanduel DVP would you go rishard matthews here?

An angry NY resident here, it may be my last week setting lineups on fd n dk :( Jason another gem right here thanks! Im loving the cobb, green, and Demariyus matchups! Going to try and squeeze 2 of them in along with gronk and pay down at rb and qb
ArtVandelay10
Cobb and Green are cash game locks for me, and as a Cowboys fan, I know deep down that Mike Evans could be in for a monster game
JasonG4s
@Zpa1989 it all depends on the health of Jenkins, if he doesn't play fire Landry up. Matthews is a boom-or-bust option for sure. Tannehill and the Dolphins have been unreliable in the passing game, so both are tournament plays for me. --- @FantasyTony Man, I hope that is not the case! I love Randall Cobb this week, and I think we see DT get his. I am with you on this method, so many value backs this week. --- @Ryan As long as Evans hangs onto the ball, he should be in for a solid week.
