Recap

It was just “an ok" week for the guys who I wrote up. You had Finau who was flirting with the leaders all weekend, however, his putting let him down again. We also had Leishman up there as well, almost the same deal with Finau, he couldn't get anything going on the greens. For DraftKings, I cashed in 9 out 11 double ups with my cash lineup and for GPPs, I max entered in the $4 and I cashed in 6 out of 20. Just about your average week for winnings.

This Week

We are headed to Phoenix, Arizona for the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The course is a Par 71 and 7,266 yards long. There's the traditional Par 3, 16th hole. It's literally a stadium on a golf course. It can fit something like, 25,000 people. It's one of my favourite tournaments to watch because of the atmosphere. It's quite a loaded field this week, you have your fan favourites, Phil Mickelson; Spieth; Thomas; and Rahm. I'm basically just going to pick Rahm at the top and no one else. The Stats that I'm looking at for this week will be your usual ball striking stats: SG: Off the Tee; SG: Approach the Green; SG: Around the Green. For scoring stats, I'm looking at SG: Birdies or better %; SG: Par 4 scoring and I'm adding SG: Par 5 scoring as well.

Cash Plays

Ryan Moore ($8,200) – Moore is one of those players that I can't figure out, however, I do like how he's playing entering this week. He's made 3 cuts out of his 3 starts this season and he hasn't missed a cut here in 5 years with 4 out of 5 top 20 finishes. He's 10th in the field for SG: Approach the Green; 10th in the field for SG: Around the Green; and 17th in the field for SG: Par 5 scoring.

Brendan Steele ($7,800) – Steele was our staple cash option last year and it looks like he's getting into form for us to go back to him. He hasn't missed the cut this season. He also has the win back at the Safeway Open. He hasn't missed a cut here in 5 years, which includes 4 out of 5 top 20 finishes. He's 8th in the field for SG: Off the Tee; 20th in the field for SG: B.O.B.%; and 23rd in the field for SG: Par 5 scoring.

Zach Johnson ($7,700) – This seems to be Zach's course the last 3 years. He has 3 straight top 15s here and the way he's playing this season, you can probably bet another top 15 finish this year. He has 3 top 15s in his last 5 starts and hasn't missed a cut this season. He's 5th in the field for SG: Par 4 scoring; 12th in the field for SG: B.O.B.%; and 34th in the field for SG: Approach the Green. Zach is a lock in all formats at this price!

GPP Plays

Bud Cauley ($7,300) – Cauley has made 6 cuts this season, including 2 top 10s. He's only played twice here and has made the cut in both attempts. He's 22nd in the field for SG: Approach the Green; and 39th in the field for SG: B.O.B.%. I believe will get something going this week. He's going to be my dark horse for this week.

Chesson Hadley ($6,900) – I'm going back to Hadley this week, mainly because his stats are still solid, and I think this course suits him a lot better than Torrey Pines. He does have only 1 cut made here out of his 2 starts. However, he hasn't missed a cut this season, which includes 3 straight top 5 finishes. He's 1st in the field for SG: B.O.B.% and he's 11th in the field for SG: Par 5 scoring.

Exposure

Cash Games: For cash games, I like to play the small field 50/50s, for example, anything less than 100 entrants. I tend to make just 1 lineup and that lineup will have the 6 golfers who I think will give me the best chance of 6/6 and finishing high in both cash and GPPs.

3 Entry Max GPPs: For these tournaments, think of it as one lineup for cash, one for leagues and for a GPP. This technique is very common among the DFS community and even the DFS pros. Just start of with your cash lineup then use a “2 vs. 2" strategy for the other 2. You should have roughly 8-10 players total for overall pool.

20 – 150 Max GPPS: With these, you can have a player pool anywhere from 15-100 players. For 20 max GPPs, I tend to stay closer to 15-18 golfers in my pool. For 150 max GPPs, I recommend using around 25-30 golfers.

Weather

As of Monday evening, there is no weather concerns for stacking tee times. Both Thursday and Friday are supposed to be perfect golf weather. I will update on twitter if the weather forecast changes.

Good luck everyone!
