Recap

This past week at Valspar was an exciting tournament to watch. For DraftKings, I had only 9/28 golfers missing the cut. Billy Horschel and Luke Donald were the two players where I had a lot of exposure to and they both missed the cut. I didn't have enough Hadwin and Stenson in my lineups to make it worth sweating for Sunday. Congrats to Hadwin for his 1st victory on the tour! Go Canada!

This Week

We are headed to probably one of my favourite tournaments to watch. It's going to be a very emotional week where we are honouring the life and legacy of The King, Arnold Palmer. For the event, the course is called Bay Hill Club & Lodge. It's 7,419 yards and a par 72. The stats that I'm looking for this week will be course history; recent form; and g.i.r.%. The one player who won't be in my core, but someone who I'm considering this week is Jeunghun Wang. He has won 3 European titles in the last 10 months.

Core

Rory Mcllroy ($12,000) – At the top this week, I'm choosing Mcllroy. One of the reasons I'm going to him is because of ownership. I don't think people will pay for Rory when you have Stenson $500 cheaper. The second reason I like Rory is that I was impress with his 7th place finish in Mexico where he could've easily won it. Rory has been hitting his greens at 72% and I'm going to pick him to win this week.

Adam Hadwin ($8,400) – So this pick might be a bit biased since I'm a Canadian and he's a Canadian, but Hadwin is a very consistent player. His iron play is very solid, hitting his greens at 68%. He has zero missed cuts in his last 6 tournaments. Finally, he finished 36th here last year and after his win last week, I'm going to play the hot hand right now even though I know he's going to be popular.

Byeong-Hun An ($7,000) – I can't believe An is only at $7,000! He is top 50 in the world, he is in form and with this price, you are getting a nice discount on him where, once again, he can be overlooked. He is hitting his greens consistently at 69%. He has zero missed cuts in his last 6 events, including a top ten finish. He finished 36th here last year and could be a nice dark horse for this week.

Charles Howell ($6,900) – Why?! Oh, why?! Why is CH3 down here at $6,900?! For what he has done this year, this is sad. He has zero missed cuts and 2 top 10s in his last 6 events. He has zero missed cuts in his last 6 starts at this event. Finally, he's been hitting his greens at 64% so far this season. He should be a very popular pick down here for the week.

Exposure

This week I'm going to use my core players in 40-60% of my lineups. For the popular players who I like this week, I'm going to go over weight on them then the rest of the field. For the rest, it will be a mix between a single bullet to 20-30% of my lineups. That way if they hit then I will have a good chance of having a nice payday! Which, at the end of the day, is what we're all trying to achieve!

Good luck everyone!
