Recap

What a brutal week for us at the AT&T Bryon Nelson. After Thursday, it definitely looked like the core was going to miss the cut. However, only Henley missed the cut and the other 3 just played ok. I had some Jason Day, but not enough to have a chance of cashing and the mistake was to avoid Bud Cauley and Billy Horschel. Congrats to Billy on winning in the playoff against Day!

This week

We are heading back to Colonial CC in Fort Worth, Texas. It was known has the Crown Plaza before going to Dean Deluca in 2016. The course is a par 70 and 7,209 yards long. Jordan Spieth is the defending champion and it will be interesting to see if people will play him this week, after missing 3 cuts in a row. The stats that I'm looking for this week will be, B.O.B%; G.I.R.; Proximity; and other stats to consider will be Strokes Gained: Around the Green; Rough Proximity; and par 4 scoring.

Core

Jason Dufner ($9,000) – With a nice showing last week with a 13th place finish, I'm going back to Dufner for this week. He has been very consistent with his irons for the past month or so. He has 2 2nd place finishes here and has only missed one cut in the last 6 attempts at this course. He is 17th in the field for B.O.B.% (32nd); 41st in the field for G.I.R. (67th); 18th in the field for Proximity (27th).

Adam Hadwin ($8,400) – Going to the Canadian once again and for good reason. Not because he's a fellow Canadian, however, he is becoming a consistent ball striker. He's 18th in the field for B.O.B.% (33rd); 36th in the field for G.I.R. (57th); 48th in the field for Proximity (73rd). With making his last 2 cuts at this course, he will be a nice addition to the core for this week.

Chris Kirk ($8,200) – Kirk is a definition of a “cash play" for this week. He hasn't missed a cut in 6 years and he won here in 2015. Also, Kirk is getting into form, making his last 2 cuts out of 4 events in the last 6 weeks. For stats, he's one of the best in the field. He's 15th in the field for B.O.B. % (28th); 21st in the field for G.I.R. (39th); and 20th in the field for Proximity (30th).

Emiliano Grillo ($7,800) – Grillo is getting into form with his iron play. He's 29th in the field for B.O.B. % (48th); 28th in the field for G.I.R. (52nd); and 31st in the field for Proximity (56th). Grillo has only played here once, and he finished t55 last year. He's also only played twice in the last 6 weeks and he finished 11th at his last event which was The Players.

Exposure

We are going to do a normal exposure this week, going 40-60% for the core. For 3 entry max gpps, I would just rotate the 4 golfers and choose about 6-8 more. For multi-entry gpps, I will go close to 60% with the core and have around 20 golfers to round up your player pool. That way, if your core hits, then you will have a really good chance of having a really nice payday! Which, at the end of the day, that is what we are all trying to achieve!

Good luck everyone!
