Recap

It was another awesome sweat for the core! With Fowler and Stanley being right there on Sunday. Eventually, Stanley taking home the title and notching a W for our core. For DraftKings, it was a tough week to get 6/6 for the weekend. Only 5% managed do it, and I was able to get one for the $8 GPP. I only had 4 players missing the cut, including Steele. Luckily, Steele was very popular across the board, so that didn't hurt the core for the weekend. I managed to get 2/2 GPP lines cashing and 2/4 for cash. Congrats to Stanley on his 2nd tour title!!

This Week

We are headed to Greenbriar for The Greenbriar Classic. The course is called The Old White TPC and it's a par 70, 7,287 yards. Last year, this course was flooded and the tournament was cancelled. So be mindful when looking at course history. You have Phil Mickelson entering the field for the first time since breaking up with his caddie, “bones”. It will be interesting to see how popular he will be, with having his brother being on the bag for the rest of the year. The stats that I'm looking for this week are, B.O.B. %; G.I.R.; Strokes Gained: Around the Green.

Core

Webb Simpson ($10,100) – Simpson is not your typical guy to be in your core, however, with his recent play and good course history and being in the top 6 in odds, it's hard to ignore him this week. He's 38th in the field for B.O.B.% (81st); 26th in the field for G.I.R. (59th); and he's 8th in field for SG: ATG (13th). With a top 10 in his last 3 starts and 2 top 10s at this course, he could be a nice dark horse for this week.

Russell Henley ($9,300) – Henley is becoming a consistent player towards the 2nd half of the season. He's 8th in the field for B.O.B. % (33rd); he's 12th in the field for G.I.R. (24th); and he's 43rd in the field for SG: ATG (76th). He has a top 30 back at the U.S. Open and he has a top 10 here back in 2015. Look for him to be in contention on Sunday afternoon.

Tony Finau ($9,100) – Finau has been on form recently, and it shows with his stats. He's 2nd in the field for B.O.B.% (10th); 1st in the field for G.I.R. (6th); and 27th in the field for SG: ATG (51st). He has 2 top 30s in his last 3 starts. He only played here once, back in 2015, and he finished for a T13.

Stewart Cink ($6,900) – Cink has been playing a lot better recently. He's 4th in the field for B.O.B.% (24th); He's 5th in the field for G.I.R. (13th); and 44th in the field for SG: ATG (77th). With a top 10 and a top 30 in his last 3 starts and with no course history in recent years, he could be a nice “sneaky play” for the week.

Exposure

As you can probably see, not too many “sexy” names in the field this week. So, if you don't feel confident, I will recommend either cutting down your bankroll or just have a week off. If you are playing, I recommend going 40-60% for your core. If you like to play the 3 entry max gpps, I would choose the 4 golfers who you like and rotate them around while choosing another 6-8 more. For multi entry, I would go close to 60% for your core and choose about 20 more golfers to complete your player pool. That way, if your core hits, then you will have a really good chance of having a really nice payday! Which, at the end of the day, is what we're all trying to achieve!

Good luck everyone! Let's get another winner!
