Dallas Keuchel (L), Astros

$9,700 | $9,600 | vs. Colorado | 2.89 | 19.8 | 64.2 | 3 | -185 |
With some household names on the hill (Francisco Liriano and Masahiro Tanaka), Keuchel is the Cy Young candidate that may fly under the radar. His slightly rate is slightly below average, but he boasts the second best ground-ball rate in the majors and is incredibly efficient (seven-plus innings in four of last five starts). The Rockies are abysmal against southpaws, striking out at a monstrous 25.7% clip and are 24th in the league with a .293 team wOBA. Keuchel is an elite arm and draws a phenomenal matchup.

$4,800 | $5,600 | Moscot - RHP | .418 | .260 | 169 | 3 | 4.5 |
Miggy is the best hitter in the game against right-handed pitchers since the beginning of 2012, and facing a rookie pitcher who is making just his third career start is an ideal situation for the slugger. Jon Moscot is an above average pitcher, but this is a matchup that Miggy will dominate more often than not. The Tigers have a huge team total of 4.5 in this one too, so Vegas is expecting them to put up some runs.
Manny Machado (R), Orioles
FanDuel | DraftKings | Opp Pitcher & Handedness | wOBA vs RHP 2012-2015 | ISO vs RHP 2012-2015 | wRC+ vs RHP 2012-2015 | Batting Order | Team Run Total |
$3,400 | $4,200 | Harang - RHP | .331 | .162 | 108 | 1 | 4.5 |
The Orioles are in a great spot against Aaron Harang tonight in the friendly confines of Camden Yards. Machado has been on fire in June, batting .340 with three HR and eight RBI. Harang has some extreme home/road splits and has allowed a .328 wOBA on the road compared to .238 at home. I'm targeting the Orioles in a big way tonight, and Machado has a phenomenal price across the industry, especially on FanDuel.
Prince Fielder (L), Rangers
FanDuel | DraftKings | Opp Pitcher & Handedness | wOBA vs RHP 2012-2015 | ISO vs RHP 2012-2015 | wRC+ vs RHP 2012-2015 | Batting Order | Team Run Total |
$3,600 | $4,800 | Frias - RHP | .388 | .196 | 146 | 3 | 4 |
With a plethora of options at first base tonight, Fielder may fly under the radar once again. Carlos Frias has been getting hammered by lefties this season to the tune of a .396 wOBA allowed. Fielder is one of the best hitters in the game, and has done a tremendous job of putting the ball in play with just a 8.6% strikeout rate. He is an elite option on FanDuel tonight.
Joey Gallo (L), Rangers
FanDuel | DraftKings | Opp Pitcher & Handedness | wOBA vs RHP 2012-2015 | ISO vs RHP 2012-2015 | wRC+ vs RHP 2012-2015 | Batting Order | Team Run Total |
$3,200 | $3,800 | Frias - RHP | .553 | .417 | 264 | 5 | 4 |
Another Rangers slugger that I'm targeting tonight is Gallo. He has been incredible since being called up, hitting four homers in just 46 plate appearances. I already mentioned Frias' struggles against lefties, and I fully expect Gallo to take advantage of a pitcher who throws primarily fastballs. All of the Rangers' lefties are in play tonight.
Value and Platoon Plays
Colby Rasmus (OF - HOU) FD: $2,200 DK: $3,700
Rasmus is an absolute steal on FanDuel tonight at minimum salary. He has a monstrous .236 ISO against righties this season, and will have the pleasure of playing in hitter-friendly Minute Maid Park against Chad Bettis.
Luis Valbuena (3B - HOU) FD: $2,300 DK: $3,600
Another Astro who is in a great spot tonight is Valbuena. He will never hit for a high average, but he has a ton of power against right-handed pitchers (.283 ISO, .345 wOBA). Pairing him with Rasmus gives you elite upside at a bargain bin price.
Pablo Sandoval (3B - BOS) FD: $2,300 DK: $4,300
"Kung Fu Panda" struggled in a big way throughout the month of May, but has come on strong since the calendar turned. He has four multi-hit games in his last seven starts, including two doubles, a triple and a homer. He is an insane value on FD.
Jace Peterson (2B - ATL) FD: $2,800 DK: $3,500
Peterson is on fire right now, going 13-for-31 over his last seven games with four doubles, a homer and seven runs scored. Rick Porcello has allowed a .343 wOBA to lefties this season and all of the Atlanta lefties are in play tonight.
