Edwin Encarnacion. There I have recapped the week. E5 went off for a monster game on Saturday, crushing three homers for nine RBI. However there was much more that happened this week, including the amazing Mets, and Clayton Kershaw finds his name in the win column.

What Team Should I Stack? Edwin Encarnacion. He's Not A Team.

The Blue Jays scored 15 runs on Saturday, and Edwin Encarnacion drove in nine runs, on three homers. He was a solo homer short of the home run cycle. He totaled 24.5 FanDuel points, and 56 DraftKings points. We have seen just a few players hit these types of numbers this season, and the other two have come in the last few weeks. Jackie Bradley Jr. and Yoenis Cespdes were the others.

Playing DFS Like It's 2012

Justin Verlander has been picked on over the last few seasons, but lately, not so much. He missed a no-hitter by inches in the eighth inning, but has been dominating in the last few starts. Verlander has allowed just one earned run in the last four starts, but this week faces the Indians and the Royals. It will be a battle of the hot streak versus the matchups. Beware!!

When You Avoid A High Salary Pitching Meltdown

This week was no different than any of the last in avoiding pitchers. Hisashi Iwakuma had a massive meltdown this week, allowing seven earned in 4.2 innings. Johnny Cueto six earned in five innings. Max Scherzer, not a meltdown, but not worth the price either. Four earned in seven innings against the Marlins. Kluber had a mediocre start against the Angels on Saturday. Needless to say, pitching has not been fun this season.

The Amazin' Mets

New York headed to Coors at the end of last week and walloped every pitcher Colorado tossed out. The fun did not stop there, they scored 16 runs on Monday, six runs on Tuesday, and nine runs on Wednesday. They then faced Henry Owens, Joe Kelly, and Wade Miley, did the offense keep going? No, they stalled and the universe seems to be back in order. However, they did boost their lead in the NL East.
