For every recapalooza, the MLB brings up another prospect, and this week there have been two. Francisco Lindor and Byron Buxton are the two newest call-ups for this season, making Joey Gallo and Carlos Correa old news. First of all, Byron Buxton has a hall of fame name already, not quite Kirby Puckett status, but close. This past week we saw Carlos Correa become a cash game staple in certain situations, and Joey Gallo went boom more than bust.

Some things never change from these weekly recaps, Giancarlo Stanton mashes another five home runs, and reclaims the home run lead from his worthy opponent, Bryce Harper. Chris Sale has another double digit strikeout, and the DFS community demands Felix Hernandez to lose his crown. All covered on this weeks recapalooza.

Torii Hunter Plays King Felix In Cash Games

If you are familiar with the hit TV show, Game Of Thrones, then you have heard of the King Slayer. The Houston Astros earned that nickname this week, for absolutely slaying the king. Hernandez walked away with -6.67 FanDuel points, and let me just pull up my DraftKings app to my lineups, oh a whopping -17.45. This is the second time in recent weeks, the so-called king closes your internet tabs for you. He recorded one out, and allowed eight earned runs. At least he managed one strikeout for us... This all came on a night where Clayton Kershaw was pitching in Petco, but many turned to Hernandez anyway. Kershaw after the game was quoted saying "I am the one and only top cash game pitcher, it serves them all right." A little harsh, but I can see why he was miffed, he has been good to us for years. The Torii Hunter ejection vine really caps all of the DFS communities' emotions in a quick few seconds.

I Will Take Epic Home Run Hitters For $400 Alex

Giancarlo Stanton had five homers this week, and as I am typing he is facing, lefty Jorge De La Rosa. The number could go up sometime later today. Over the last seven days, he is hitting .462, with five homers. His damage against left-handed pitching also makes me question why they don't just intentionally walk him each time. He has a (.495 wOBA, .568 ISO, 218 wRC+), I don't believe there are many must plays in DFS MLB, but Stanton, Josh Donaldson, and Nelson Cruz against lefties are as close to lock plays as anything. Check out this smash against lefty Chris Rusin this week.

Chris Heston No-Nobody Played Me

Max Scherzer, Francisco Liriano, Jon Lester, and Corey Kluber all headlined Tuesday's slate as highly touted pitching selections. It was Chris Heston who stole the show, and decided to anchor some epic GPP lineups. He racked up 24 FanDuel points, and 54.45 DraftKings points. The fact he recorded double-digit strikeouts really sent this play over the edge. It was an epic showing from a pitcher who has only been in the rotation due to injuries from Matt Cain and Jake Peavy. Also Giants pitchers must expect at least one no-hitter a season, or else it is a failure.

Thursday Night Football

Toronto-Boston on Friday was the first real blowup score from both teams, and this is where stacking games can lead to big money. They combined for 23 runs, 9 walks, 4 homers, and 27 hits. 13-10 was the final score, and really you can thank the Sox' bullpen for the nine run seventh inning the Jays had. This truly was a Thursday Night Football score, and the stackers of this game had quite a few GPP wins.

Chris $ale And The Double-Digit K's

Chris Sale has carried his success from last week into this week, as he struck out 14 Houston bats. Hey Felix, you could learn something! He is on pace for another double-digit strikeout game today against Tampa. He now has a 31.7% strikeout rate on this season, and a 15.5% swinging strike rate, 15.5%!!! He is one of the filthiest pitchers in the game, and I love how he can go deep into games at the same velocity. Sale is a trued stud.
