The first week of June MLB DFS is here, and Mr. Consistent Kershaw is finally arriving this season. Warmer weather also means more dongs, but weather does not matter for Sir Giancarlo Stanton and his 484 ft. home run at Coors this week. Corey Kluber this, Matt Harvey that, how about Chris Archer ladies and gentleman. He has 37 strikeouts in the last three starts, and two came against Seattle. Carlos Martinez, Jason Hammel, Joc Pederson, and Freddie Freeman all with monster weeks in the fantasy world, while Lucas Duda, and Andrew Cashner were on the other end of the spectrum.

Noah Syndergaard & Andrew Cashner - "Strikeouts Are Fascist"

Andrew Cashner had one of the oddest starts I have ever seen, allowing 5 earned over 4.2 innings, while striking out 12. The night after, Noah Syndergaard has a similar line, he threw 4 innings, allowed 7 earned runs, and struck out 10. The two were heavily owned in their starts, causing blood pressure to rise and fall throughout the night. They now have a disclaimer, "if you are looking for double-digit strikeouts, you may experience 5+ earned runs from time to time."

Joc Jams

Joc Pederson headed to Coors this past week, and did he enjoy the thin air? You bet. The Dodgers had a four game series at Coors Field, and Joc decided to homer in every game there. Before he took part in the Colorado festivities, he homered against St. Louis, to make it five straight games. The first game at Coors, the night grew late, and Joc had yet to do anything at the plate. He was heavily owned and Twitter was getting restless, I mean players swearing Pederson off from ever being in their lineups again. He took a pitch and sent it into the seats for a three run shot, and totally redeemed himself.

Got K's?

It was a monster week for the way of the k, with Chris Archer leading the way. He had an impressive outing against the Angels, striking out 15 over eight innings. Kershaw struck out 11 over eight innings. Jason Hammel struck out 11 over six innings. Carlos Martinez struck out 19 Dodgers over his last two starts, and has truly been dominant this season. If you missed out on these outings, you probably had a frustrating week of DFS.

FanGraphs Research Hell

Pat Venditte surfaced this week in the majors, and the guy can pitch with both arms. He is also a switch hitter, if that makes it even more surprising. Nobody has the advantage against Pat here, he came into throw two innings against Boston, and allowed just one hit. This may be the future we are looking at.
