Welcome to MLB GPP Stacking & Ownership. In this article I will give you three options to stack. Remember that winning a GPP isn't always about maximizing points but instead maximizing some form of points and ownership. As always, plays will be listed from favorite to least favorite of the stack.

Take a gander at that total at Coors Field below (as you can see, I'll elaborate more on the game there). Both the Rockies and Diamondbacks are going to be popular stacks, the top two stacks, without question. I wouldn't discourage anyone from using pieces from that game, mini-stacks and hooking players. That said, if you're full blown stacking, you're failing to make the most of game theory and you'll need your stack to hit and your pitchers and one-offs to hit in order to jump to the top of the heap. As we've hammered into your head in this article previously, picking a lower owned stack will create the opportunity for an edge if it hits. With three games, in addition to the Coors Field tilt, with totals of nine runs and three more sitting at eight, run scoring should be plentiful tonight and there are some awesome alternative stacks that could give the Diamondbacks and Rockies a run for their money.

Run Totals To Target

Diamondbacks @ Rockies - 11 - Shocker. Two non-star pitchers (one of whom is terrible) at Coors Field fuel this total, and while both offenses rank in the bottom half of the league in wRC+, they'll touch up this duo of hurlers. Everyone and their brother ... sister .. mother ... father ... you get the idea, is going to be stacking ...

Love all the options tonight, feel like I don't have to focus on Coors, which is nice.
Do you guys find that the stacking is more useful on Draft Kings then Fanduel? I'm just trying to get a feel on Fanduel if a 4-man stack, 3-man stack, or mini stacks are most effective? Obviously it depends on the games and if one team goes for 17 runs, the 4-man stack would have been a good idea, but just wanted to get your perspective when reading these.

I think is is very much context dependent. If a lineup is deep with talent, then I think you can get a lift at DK by using all six. Some rosters, however, are very top heavy and the top four in a lineup, or perhaps the 2-5 are all you're really looking to roster anyway. That said, when a stack truly goes off, like your hypothetical 17 run offense, then those on DK are going to get the most out of the stack most likely since it's highly likely lots of players had big scoring efforts. Hopefully that clears things up a bit. The one thing I like about the smaller stack limit on FD is that if I'm torn between a couple stacks, I can almost use both stacks together if the positions don't overlap. Last week, for instance, I love the O's and Pirates and I was able to do a full O's stack and partial Pirates stack (3 players instead of four). That's not to say you can't do something similar on DK, but you can nearly do two full stacks on FD, whereas it would be two half restrictions stacks on DK.
Thanks a lot! Great feedback and I appreciate all the write-ups too! You guys rock!
