The purpose of this column is to highlight some players with upside and well-suited for tournaments. While the majority of the hitter picks will likely have power upside, that's not necessarily the case for all the listed options. Other contextual factors such as batting order, ballpark, opposing pitcher, price, speed, etc also come into play, and you'll see these items sprinkled into the write-ups below. Along with that, we'll be gauging the ownership levels, giving you some plausible pivots from the popular choices in a given game slate.

I'm just going right back to the well on this one here. Yes, I was let down on Monday night, because of Kershaw's so-so game, and Kluber's explosion of nearly 50 DK points, but Kershaw didn't pitch bad. He just had a couple of missed pitch selections in 0-2 and 1-2 counts. If you throw out those few bad pitch selections, he spins a gem. He still looked dominant out there, and I'm always a fan of getting Kershaw in LA. Not to mention, this Rockies offense is significantly worse away from Coors, so I'm feeling a lot of Kershaw in my lineups tonight. Much more in play on DK though because of his salary, but I'll have some shares on FD as well.

Pitching a bunch of Clayton Kershaw won't leave you with much to stack your hitters, but let's pick one of the best spots to attack tonight. J.C. Ramirez has been starting to come down to earth lately, and Mookie Betts has done a great job mashing opposing right-handed pitching. He is just a great one-off to have on a nightly basis, because of his massive upside. I'm going to like the Red Sox stack here, but playing Mookie as a one-off in your other stacks is never a bad idea.

If you really want to talk contrarian, I have a guy for you. Adam Frazier of the Pittsburgh Pirates. You always have to like a guy batting first right? Frazier never carries any ownership, and I don't expect that to change here. I dont even think people know about him, but he's in play for me here. Lance Lynn has been very solid this season, but has struggled against opposing left-handed bats. Fire up Frazier in tourneys with under 10 percent ownership.

I can't even begin to tell you how much I like the Padres and Wil Myers here. Anibal Sanchez is the definition of a gas can, and I will be having tons of Padres exposure here. He struggles with both sides of the plate, but has been susceptible to the HR from right-handed power bats. Look for Myers to break out of his slump here. He's my pick to go deep tonight. Also, love Hunter Renfroe in this spot to pair with Myers.

I'm going to stick with the theme from the last one, and continue to pick on Anibal Sanchez. Remember what I said about power righties? Well, that's what Hedges has to offer. He won't hit for a solid average by any means, but he's very boom or bust, which is what we're looking for in GPP's. Love his low price tag, with high upside here. SIDE NOTE: Including a catcher in your stack, is a nice way to differ your stacks from the field. I love knocking the catcher's spot out, and moving on. Very nice GPP play on this slate.
