MLB Stacking: 5-22-15

Welcome to full slate Friday. In this article I will be targeting the top teams to stack tonight giving you the highest upside and ceiling to win a GPP. These stacks may be based on ownership, run total or both. One thing to remember is that while full-allowed stacks on a site may increase your upside tremendously, running mini stacks will increase your floor and create unique lineups. If you are playing in a GPP tonight, don't just stack the top four or six hitters. Construct your lineup with a synergy of players to help you rise to the top.

Run Totals to Target

SF @ COL (10) – Stack both sides of this game without thinking twice. We are getting good weather in Coors with two bad pitchers.

CHC @ ARI (8.5) - We see an explosive offense face off in a hitter's ballpark against a contact pitcher.

HOU @ DET (8) – Many players will be off this game due to two solid pitchers in this matchup. This game produces two of the lowest owned stacks of the night, yet both teams are in the top half of runs scored on the season.

SF v Kendrick (R)

Kyle Kendrick takes his .342 wOBA and awful strikeout rate versus an underpriced team that plays its games in a pitcher's park and you have the recipe for an underpriced stack. I was recommending the Giants as a stack in Great American Ballpark and they produced with six-plus runs in multiple games. Tonight, they play an even worse pitcher in the holy grail of hitter's parks.

COL v Vogelsong (R)

Ryan Vogelsong can get away with some mistakes pitching at home, but in Coors these will be highlighted and put to the seats in the best hitter's ballpark in MLB. The highest over under total of the day will likely yield the most runs, and you will want a piece of it any way you can get it.

Most players will be fooled by only looking at Collmenter's sub .300 wOBA against right-handed batters and fade the Cubbies in GPPs tonight. Luckily for you, you're reading this article and you'll also know he boasts a 50% flyball rate to right-handed batters. An explosive offense that hits flyballs, versus a flyball pitcher in a hitter's park – Thank you, Sir, I'll take another home run.

Astros v Simon (R)

Fun fact – Alfredo Simon allows contact 73% of the time against a team that leads the league in home runs and runs. They are an extremely aggressive team at the plate and are hitting in a park that will allow taking advantage of that. While the rest of DFS is on the Coors games, you might be able to get ahead of the pack with a high scoring outbreak for the Houston Astros. Your dong of the night call in this game is going to team leader Luis Valbeuna just beating out George Springer.
