Taking down massive GPP tournaments like these can be a challenging feat that requires knowledge of both the players you are drafting and the opponents you are playing against. Beating a field with hundreds, of thousands, of entrants can be a daunting task, but correctly drafting players with low ownership percentages, that are also in good spots to produce, is a recipe for success. Below, we'll be highlighting our GPP-specific projections to provide you with players at each position who can produce and also be below 20% owned, preferably lower.

Carson Palmer

I like David Johnson quite a bit, but so does the rest of the daily fantasy community. Okay, I guess I can't speak for the rest of the DFS community, but I can point out GPP gamers like an injury fill-in, and that's best reflected by Johnson being the second highest owned running back in the Thursday FanDuel Mini Dive. Conversely, Palmer was rostered on just 3% of teams. The Cardinals are the highest scoring team in the NFL this year, and Palmer has been excellent leading the league in yards per pass attempt (8.83) while ranking second in touchdown passes (27) and QB Rating (105.9) and fifth in passing yards per game (303). In the event Johnson struggles, or if head coach Bruce Arians simply doesn't trust the running game, Palmer could be in line for a bigger workload. When the Cardinals lost to the Rams earlier in the year, Palmer still managed to pass for 352 yards and a touchdown. I think that's pretty close to his floor, and the upside exceeds that by a wide margin. Upgrade to Premium

Love the calls with the Seahawks passing game. The match-up on paper does not look good but they are just on fire.

I really like fading Newton this week in tournaments, especially with the guys you mention.
