I will be playing it safe tonight, and Jonathan Quick is in the best spot. Vegas loves the Kings tonight, and Toronto are underdogs to score over two goals. Quick should be a lock tonight for a win, and L.A. has allowed the least goals per game this season. Quick is 8-1-1 in his last ten games, allowing 1.75 GA. Toronto ranks 27th in goals per game, scoring an average of 2.3. With a lot of backups going tonight, and tons of value on the board, go ahead and pay up.

Well Arizona is one of the teams to pick on in the NHL. If you are familiar to MLB DFS, games against Arizona can turn into a team facing a Rockies' pitcher in Coors. They are allowing 3.29 goals per game, proving their defenseman, and goaltenders are abysmal. The Islanders enter with a 3.5 team goal total, which is the only team on the slate with one. John Tavares has been quiet of late, with just three points in his last ten games. He had a three point game against Arizona earlier this season, which will likely draw higher ownership, but he is one of the few with a monster ceiling tonight. He has 23 points this season, and look for him to add to that tonight.

Milan Lucic has been playing exceptionally well of late, and will face off against a familiar team. He has nine points in the last ten games, and 21 on the season. Lucic is seeing first line time, as well as on the power play line. Toronto is allowing the 9th most goals per game, and have the 9th worst penalty killing percentage. L.A. is heavily favored in Vegas' eyes tonight, making them a great option to target. The Kings are an average offense, so I am not going overboard, but I love Lucic's price on both sites.

P.K. Subban (D), Canadiens

Montreal may need to keep up with Dallas in the goals department, given Montreal has been trending downwards of late, losing seven of their last ten. Subban has 22 helpers on the season, but just one in the last ten games. In fact that is his only point in the last ten games. I can't see many paying up for his presence in their lineups tonight, even though he has multi-point upside, and logs a ton of ice time. Dallas is an average defense, allowing 2.56 goals per game, but they do have a subpar penalty killing percentage. This is where Subban can do some damage. He has ten power play points on the season.

Gabriel Landeskog (W), Avalanche

This is another high scoring game to target, and I am looking on the Colorado side. Edmonton has allowed 5th most goals per game, sitting over three. Colorado stands a good chance of scoring three or more tonight, given their Vegas total. Gabriel Landeskog has seven points in the last ten games, and 24 on the season. Colorado ranks 10th in goals per game, and Edmonton has allowed on average 31 shots against per game. Landeskog never stands out much, given his ownership rates this season, making him a sneaky option.

Value Plays

Teddy Purcell (W - EDM) FD: $4,200 DK: $3,800

Teddy Purcell is part of a talented first line, squaring off against Colorado, who has allowed the 11th most goals per game. Both offenses are in great spots, and Purcell has 8 points in the last ten games. Both sites have him very cheap, and he is dirt cheap for a first line player.

Nick Leddy (D - NYI) FD: $4,700 DK: $3,700

If you are looking for a cheaper option with a shot at landing a point, it has to be Nick Leddy. Even though he has nine points this season, he sees 22 minutes per game on the first defensive unit. He also plays on the first power play unit. Looking at Columbus putting up a touchdown against Arizona last game, I can't see the Islanders scoring any less than three.

Brandon Dubinsky (C - CBJ) FD: $6,200 DK: $4,000

If you tuned in on Thursday, you saw Brandon Dubinsky here, and it is a repeat pick for tonight. It took a very long time, and it was frustrating, but Dubinsky scored an empty-netter to grab a point. It was disappointing given Columbus scored seven. No real price change, as Columbus takes on a subpar Philly defense. They have allowed the 11th most goals per game, and this game could be sneaky for offense given their defensive woes.

Michael Raffl (W - PHI) FD: $5,000 DK: $3,500

Staying in this game, if you are looking for an absolute low-owned value play, Michael Raffl is that guy. He has just seven points on the season, but four have come in the last six games. He is playing on the first line, and is also seeing power play time on the second unit. Columbus has allowed 3.06 goals per game. Philly's offense has been awful this season, so taking a chance on a few of them is a decent GPP move.
